Social Media Challenge || REVEALER
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
In this post, I will share my experience using Revealer who managed to avoid additional damage thanks to his last ability.
REVEALER
Revealer is one of the reward cards for the second part of the CHAOS LEGION EDITION. It is an epic rarity reward card for DEATH Splinter. With the highest level at level 6, Revealer gets 3 abilities. He receives those 3 abilities at levels 1, 4, and 6 respectively.
At level 1, Revealer gets the STUN ability. The STUN ability can be very deadly as it can stop the target's movement for one round if the effect successfully activates when attacking it. The STUN ability is also key in the HEAVY HITTERS ruleset where all monsters will receive an additional KNOCKOUT ability. When a monster or target affected by STUN gets attacked by a monster that has the KNOCKOUT ability, the monster will take twice as much damage as usual.
At level 4, Revealer gets an additional ability in the form of IMMUNITY . IMMUNITY is an ability that can prevent its owner from debuffs given by the opponent's monsters (debuffs from the opponent's Summoner can still hit him). This ability is very suitable for use when facing opponents who often give debuffs or when in the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset which gives poison to all monsters.
And at level 6, Revealer gains the REFLECTION SHIELD ability. REFLECTION SHIELD is an ability that can protect its owner from additional damage caused by BLAST abilities. The ability can also protect it from counterattacks when attacking a target (because Revealer is a Magic monster, it will avoid the MAGIC REFLECT ability when attacking a target with the ability).
Below is one of my battles when using Revealer.
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is COUNTERSPELL (All monsters receive an additional ability in the form of MAGIC REFLECT ), and EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY (All monsters receive an additional ability in the form of BLAST )
The opponent used Lily Shieldpaw as a summoner and used Agor Longtail in the first position. Although Lily Shieldpaw is not the right choice when using Agor Longtail in the first position, it seems that the opponent wants to use the TRIAGE ability that Lily Shieldpaw has to heal the monsters in the back position (especially those behind Agor Longtail. She also brought two monsters that have TANK HEAL ability to heal the HEALTH of Agor Longtail who is the target of the attack.
Meanwhile, on my side, I used and placed Night Ghoul who has the TAUNT ability in the very last position so that the opponent's attack would not focus on 1 place. I also brought two monsters that had the MARTYR ability and placed them near the first and last positions to make them easy to defeat when they took additional damage from the effects of the BLAST ability.
In the first round, Cursed Windeku, Vruz, and Revealer attacked Agor Longtail. The Blast effect from their attack hit Satha Toledo. Despite being in the COUNTERSPELL Ruleset, Revealer managed to survive MAGIC REFLECT because he has the REFLECTION SHIELD ability.
On the opponent's side, Agor Longtail who had 2 types of attacks tried to attack Cursed Windeku. The Magic attack launched by Agor Longtail successfully hit Cursed Windeku and Vruz. But because it was in the COUNTERSPELL ruleset, it took damage due to the MAGIC REFLECT of the two monsters. Meanwhile, the Melee Attack managed to injure Cursed Windeku and defeat Vruz. Cursed Windeku and Revealer received additional stats points due to Vruz's defeat while Agor Longtail was affected by Cursed Windeku's THORNS ability (which was also amplified by Venator Kinjo's AMPLIFY ability) when attacking him with Melee Attack.
Goblin Psychic and Doctor Blight aimed their attacks at Night Ghoul and gave him a poison effect. However, their attacks are turned against them so that each monster (Goblin Psychic and Doctor Blight) takes 4 points of damage (2 points each from Night Ghoul and Venari Marksrat).
Agor Longtail was successfully healed by Satha Toledo and Goblin Psychic*. Satha Toledo successfully attacked Night Ghoul while Uraeus failed to hit him.
In the second round, Cursed Windeku's attack failed to hit Agor Longtail. Meanwhile, the attacks from Revealer successfully hit Agor Longtail and Satha Toledo*. He also still survived MAGIC REFLECT after attacking both of them.
Doctor Blight attacked Night Ghoul and defeated Venari Marksrat, but his Magic attack was returned by Venari Marksrat so Doctor Blight also lost. Night Ghoul and Venator Kinjo received additional stats points from the defeat of Venari Marksrat. Goblin Psychic targeted his attack at Night Ghoul, but he was defeated due to a MAGIC REFLECT from Night Ghoul.
Agor Longtail attacked Cursed Windeku again and received a counterattack in the form of 2 MAGIC REFLECT and 1 THORNS. Revealer who was behind Cursed Windeku was spared from the BLAST effect because of his REFLECTION SHIELD ability.
The attack from Uraeus again failed to hit Night Ghoul while Satha Toledo managed to hit him.
In the third round, Night Ghoul lost due to too long of a poison effect. Revealer and Cursed Windeku attacked Agor Longtail and managed to defeat Satha Toledo through the collateral damage of the BLAST ability.
Agor Longtail's magic attack hit Cursed Windeku and Revealer*, but the attack was returned by Revealer and defeated him. Uraeus failed to land his attack on Cursed Windeku.
In the fourth round, Fungus Fiend was defeated through a BLAST of Cursed Windeku and Revealer attacks aimed at Uraeus.
In the final round, Uraeus was defeated by Cursed Windeku.
Review
The use of Revealer in this battle is very appropriate. After all, he managed to avoid BLAST and MAGIC REFLECT because he has the REFLECTION SHIELD ability. In addition, the victory in this battle is also inseparable from the help of Venator Kinjo and the AMPLIFY ability he has. Thanks to them, the damage dealt to the opponent's monsters through the MAGIC REFLECT and THORNS abilities became more so that the battle could be finished faster.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
