Social Media Challenge || Nimbledook Scout
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
I will share a battle where Nimbledook Scout had a small part in the victory.
Nimbledook Scout
Nimbledook Scout is a Rebellion Edition Common card for Fire Element. Nimbledook Scout stole my attention since all Rebellion cards were fully released. Despite being a No-attack monster, Nimbledook Scout is very helpful, especially for Melee monsters.
At the first level, Nimbledook Scout has the BACKFIRE ability that can deal damage to the opponent if the opponent fails to land an attack on him. To utilize the ability, you need a monster with the SWIFTNESS ability or a summoner like Conqueror Jacek to increase its speed or use a monster with the SLOW ability to reduce the speed of all your opponent's monsters. The greater the speed difference, the Nimbledook Scout will easily dodge the opponent's attacks and deal damage through the BACKFIRE ability.
At the fifth level, he received an additional ability in the form of INSPIRE . INSPIRE is an ability that is used to add 1 Attack power to all Melee monsters that are in the same formation as Nimbledook Scout. If combined with Summoner Tarsa, Melee monsters from the fire element will receive an additional 2 points of Attack power.
At the last level (10), Nimbledook Scout gains the BLAST ability. BLAST is an ability that deals additional damage to the monster(s) around the target of its attack. However, because Nimbledook Scout is a No-Attack monster, this ability cannot be used without help from monsters that have the WEAPONS TRAINING ability.
WEAPONS TRAINING is an ability that will give Attack power to No-attack monster(s) if the position of the monster with the ability is close to them. The Attack power that will be received depends on the type of attack that the monster with the ability has (Melee, Ranged, or Magic). |

And below is one of my battles using Nimbledook Scout level 5 (because not many card renters provide Nimbledook Scout level 10*)
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is TAKING SIDES (Neutral units cannot be used in this ruleset), BORN AGAIN (All monsters receive an additional ability in the form of REBIRTH ), and EVEN STEVENS (Only monsters that have Even Mana points can be used in this ruleset)
In the BORN AGAIN ruleset, I use 2 monsters that have the REDEMPTION ability. The point is to deal damage to the opponent's monsters thoroughly even if it's only a little. However, if added with the REBIRTH ability added to all monsters (especially Exploding Rats and Iidri Fyre) then they can deal twice the damage.
In addition, I used 2 monsters that have the BLAST ability (Exploding Rats and Countess Sinash) so that they can deal damage to more than 1 target when they successfully attack.
In the first round, Exploding Rats attacked Grund and injured Hunter Jarx using the BLAST ability. Countess Sinash targeted her attack at Hunter Jarx and her collateral damage hit Grund and Goblin Psychic. Goblin Psychic also took a hit from Scavo Firebolt. And Ferexian Hero attacked Grund.
On the opposing side, Ava the Undaunted, Hunter Jarx, and Goblin Psychic attacked Iidri Fyre. Meanwhile, Madcap Magus attacked Countess Sinash. The double attack from Grund failed to hit the Exploding Rats due to the large speed difference.
In the second round, Exploding Rats returned to attack Grund who had been healed by Goblin Psychic in the previous round. In his attack, Exploding Rats defeated Hunter Jarx for the first time through the damage he received from BLAST ability. Scavo Firebolt defeated Grund. Countess Sinash targeted her attack and defeated Goblin Psychic. The effect of BLAST hurt Ava the Undaunted and defeated Hunter Jarx again. Ferexian Hero defeated Grund.
Ava the Undaunted defeated Iidri Fyre for the first time but Iidri Fyre cast the effect of REDEMPTION on all opposing monsters. This made Goblin Psychic who had 1 Health point lose due to the effect. Madcap Magus defeats Exploding Rats and the opposing side gets another effect from REDEMPTION for defeating Exploding Rats.
In the final round, Exploding Rats and Scavo Firebolt defeated Ava the Undaunted. Followed by Countess Sinash who defeated Ava the Undaunted and Madcap Magus again. And finally, Ferexian Hero defeated Madcap Magus.
Battle Review
The opponent probably thought I would use Magic Monsters so he anticipated it by using Immortalis as a Summoner. But since he often used that Summoner in the last five battles, I was able to anticipate it by not relying on Magic monsters at all. I used Conqueror Jacek which provides additional SPEED and PIERCING ability that can pierce ARMOR.
I also give my Melee monsters additional Attack power that comes from Nimbledook Scout through his INSPIRE ability. So that the power of my Melee monsters is not inferior to the Ranged monsters I choose.
Not using SPEED increments or decrements is also unfavorable to my opponent because then all my monsters can attack them first (and possibly defeat them immediately without giving them a chance to attack).
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
