Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will share about the event held by SPLINTERLANDS to welcome the Bitcoin Halving event held in a few days.

Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event

Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event is an event held by SPLINTERLANDS to celebrate the Bitcoin Halving Event held on April 20th. This event started on April 16 and will only last for 15 days (13 days left as of this writing).

In this event, SPLINTERLANDS brought out 2 Promo cards that have rare abilities (HALVING abilities). The card is Baron Fyatt, a legendary card that can be used on 2 different elements (DEATH and FIRE Elements). The other card is Henchling Enforcer which is a Rare Card and can be used on LIFE and WATER Elements.

The cards cannot be obtained for free or cannot be obtained by making certain achievements in the game, players (and/or Investors) are required to purchase the cards through the promo shop page (which is only available during the event) if they wish to own the cards. After the Event has ended, the 2 promo cards will only be available on third-party marketplaces at a price that may be higher than the price when purchasing during the event on the promo shop page available.

Baron Fyatt will cost 31,250 (31.25k) DEC/Credits and the Henchling Enforcer will cost 3,125 (3.125k) DEC/Credits for a single (1 BCX) card. The cost is meant to commemorate the new Bitcoin block reward after the halving of 3.125 BTC. Players will also be able to cut the price of both cards in half by burning Voucher tokens along with their purchase! Each Voucher token will reduce the price of the purchase by 50 DEC/Credits with a max Voucher discount of roughly 50%.

Credits are one of the in-game currencies whose value is equalized to the value of USD with the provisions 1 USD = 1000 Credits. DEC is an in-game currency whose price is very volatile but can be withdrawn or traded with other currencies or cryptocurrencies (unlike Credits which cannot be withdrawn or traded). For now, the price of each 1000 DEC is below $0.9 (more precisely $0.877).

From this, it can be seen that buying using DEC is more economical than having to buy using Credits. One player also described in detail through his post regarding the amount that must be spent if you want to buy 2 promo cards to their highest level (legendary cards require 11 BCX, while Rare cards require 115 BCX).

Event Rewards

During the event, buyers also have the opportunity to receive additional prizes from SPLINTERLANDS. The prizes are divided into 2 types, raffle prizes and leaderboard prizes.

Additionally, players will earn points for each DEC/Credit spent purchasing the promo cards. Every 10,000 (10k) points earned by a player will give them a chance at winning one of the available prizes, and the players with the most points in total at the end of the event will win the guaranteed leaderboard prizes.

And those who purchase early will get a point multiplier.

There will also be point multipliers to encourage players to participate earlier on in the event and reduce the ability for players to snipe leaderboard spots at the end. This means that on the first day of the event, players will receive a 3x multiplier for leaderboard points when spending tokens, and the multiplier will decrease evenly each day until the last day when players will not receive any points multiplier.

Please keep in mind that there will be a 3x point multiplier on the first day of the event, so purchasing one Rare promo card on the first day for 3,125 DEC will give the purchaser 9,375 points, for example. The multiplier will decrease each day, linearly, until it reaches 1x on the last day of the event.

buyers will get a chance (or 1 ticket) for every 10k points (DEC/Credits) they use to purchase promo cards during the event. Of course, buyers with the most purchases will benefit greatly, because, in addition to having a high chance of winning prizes in the raffle, they will also automatically receive prizes if they are ranked in the top 20.

Prizes that you can (possibly) win in the raffle include:

• 500 PLOT tokens
• 100 Alpha packs
• 250 Beta packs
• 500 Untamed Packs
• 50 Essence Orb Packs
• 100 Azmare Dice Packs
• 20 Runi NFTs

As for Leaderboard Prizes, buyers who are in the top 200 until the event ends will receive limited-time in-game Titles:

• 1-10 - "The Burninator" Legendary Title
• 11-60 - "The Incinerator" Epic Title
• 61-200 - "The Scorcher" Rare Title

Buyers who are in the top 20 will also get another additional prize in the form of a promo card with the amount listed as shown below.
