In this post, I will share a battle using one of the monsters that might be suitable to gain attack power from Aves Sturgis.

Nimbledook Explorer

Nimbledook Explorer is a Life Common Card part of the New Soulbound Reward Card. Despite having no Attack power, Nimbledook Explorer can still help the team by providing buffs and healing himself.

At the first level, it is equipped with the PROTECT ability which grants an additional 2 ARMOR to all opponents. The additional ARMOR can help other monsters protect their health points from 1 or 2 attacks made by the opponent's Melee or Ranged monsters.

At level 5, Nimbledook Explorer has a new ability. ARMORED STRIKE is an ability that can utilize their ARMOR to attack opposing monsters. If in the case of Nimbledook Explorer who does not have Attack power, the existence of this ability can make him participate in attacking the opponent's monster even though he does not have Attack power (only relying on ARMOR).

The last ability is only obtained when it is level 10. HEAL is an ability that heals itself. This ability will be useful when he receives an attack after losing all his ARMOR. Or when in the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset where in that ruleset all monsters in the arena will lose 2 Health points in each round due to the effects of poison.

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is TAKING SIDES (Neutral monsters cannot be used in this ruleset), BLOOD AND SUNDER (all monsters in the arena receive an additional CORROSIVE WARD ability), and BORN AGAIN (all monsters in the arena receive an additional REBIRTH ability)

In this battle, I chose Pelacor Conjurer and Nimbledook Explorer to receive Magic Attack power from Aves Sturgis. Venari Crystalsmith will heal Pelacor Conjurer if he fails to dodge the opponent's attack. Adelade Brightwing and Soul Fiend will provide additional SPEED so that all my monsters can attack first.

In the first round, Pelacor Conjurer, Venari Crystalsmith, Aves Sturgis, and Nimbledook Explorer attacked Pelacor Mercenary. However, Pelacor Mercenary healed himself and attacked Pelacor Conjurer. He damaged Pelacor Conjurer's entire ARMOR using the SHATTER ability he got from Immortalis and removed his DIVINE SHIELD . Halaran Huntress also attacks Pelacor Conjurer and gives him SNARE which removes his FLYING ability.

Iza the Fanged attacks Soul Fiend while Acid Shooter targets his attack at Adelade Brightwing. Adelade Brightwing repairs Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR and attacks Pelacor Mercenary. But the ARMOR was damaged again by an attack from Fungus Flinger. Djinn Biljka failed to land its attack on Pelacor Conjurer.

In the second round, Pelacor Mercenary was defeated by attacks from Pelacor Conjurer, Venari Crystalsmith, and Aves Sturgis. Although he revived using the REBIRTH ability, Pelacor Mercenary was defeated again, and now by attacks from Nimbledook Explorer. Venari Crystalsmith previously healed Pelacor Conjurer but he was again hit by an attack from Halaran Huntress.

Iza the Fanged defeated Soul Fiend but he came back to life using the REBIRTH ability. Adelade Brightwing attacked Acid Shooter and repaired Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR. However, the ARMOR was damaged again by Fungus Flinger. Djinn Biljka injured Pelacor Conjurer. But he lost for the first time due to a counterattack by Pelacor Conjurer using the MAGIC REFLECT ability.

In the third round, Venari Crystalsmith healed Pelacor Conjurer. Then they both defeated Acid Shooter for the first time and were followed by Aves Sturgis who defeated him for the second time. Nimbledook Explorer attacked Iza the Fanged who is now in first place.

Halaran Huntress attacked Pelacor Conjurer again. Adelade Brightwing repairs Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR and attacks Iza the Fanged. Fungus Flinger and Djinn Biljka failed to land their attacks on Pelacor Conjurer this time.

In the fourth round, Iza the Fanged was defeated by Pelacor Conjurer, Venari Crystalsmith, and Aves Sturgis. Iza the Fanged briefly bounced back using REBIRTH but was again defeated by attacks from Nimbledook Explorer.

Halaran Huntress damaged Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR. Although it was repaired by Adelade Brightwing (who then attacked Halaran Huntress), the ARMOR was again destroyed by Fungus Flinger. Djinn Biljka failed to land his attack on Pelacor Conjurer.

In the fifth round, Venari Crystalsmith who healed Pelacor Conjurer failed to land his attack on Halaran Huntress. The Halaran Huntress was only defeated by attacks from Pelacor Conjurer and Aves Sturgis. Despite coming back to life using REBIRTH , Halaran Huntress was defeated again by Nimbledook Explorer.

Adelade Brightwing repaired Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR and attacked Fungus Flinger. Djinn Biljka again failed to land its attack on Pelacor Conjurer.

In the final round, Pelacor Conjurer and Venari Crystalsmith defeated Fungus Flinger for the first time. While it was Aves Sturgis who defeated him for the second time. Because Fungus Flinger was defeated twice, Djinn Biljka received 2 additional points to all his stats. However, it was not enough to save him from defeat after he received attacks from Nimbledook Explorer and Adelade Brightwing*.

Battle Review

I felt a little disadvantaged because I had to face an opponent who used Immortalis. The Immortalis that gives VOID abilities to all of my opponent's monsters makes the damage they receive from the attacks made by my 4 Magic monsters (Pelacor Conjurer, Aves Sturgis, Nimbledook Explorer, and Adelade Brightwing) less.

In addition, many ARMORs that I have prepared can also be destroyed instantly with the SHATTER ability that all opposing monsters have (which they also get from Immortalis).

But I was still lucky that my opponent didn't use Goblin Psychic which reduces the Magic Attack of all my monsters (SILENCE ability) and TANK HEAL ability which can help heal Pelacor Mercenary.
