Social Media Challenge || Albahoo Forester
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
Albahoo Forester

On this occasion, I used Albahoo Forester, a No-attack unit from Life Element in the REBELLION edition. Albahoo Forester is a Common unit with 2 Mana points and 3 abilities.
At the first level, Albahoo Forester has the RETURN FIRE ability. RETURN FIRE
is an ability that will provide a counterattack if the owner receives damage from the opponent's Range unit. The counterattack that can be given is only half of the damage received. But even so, RETURN FIRE
can be amplified (adding 1 point of damage) with the help of units that have the AMPLIFY
ability.
TRIAGE new ability obtained by Albahoo Forester at level 5. TRIAGE
is an ability that will heal units that are not in the first position. If there is more than 1 unit that loses HP, then TRIAGE
will prioritize the unit that takes the most damage.
And at level 10, Albahoo Forester gets his last ability, the TRUE STRIKE ability. TRUE STRIKE
is an ability that makes the owner's attack always successfully hit its target even if the target has abilities to reduce attack accuracies, such as FLYING
, BLIND
, and DODGE
(for Melee and Range units), or PHASE
(for Magic units). But because Albahoo Forester does not have an Attack power, it needs a unit that has the WEAPONS TRAINING
ability to use its last ability.
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is NOXIOUS FUMES (All units in the arena receive poison effects from the start of the fight), BLOOD AND SUNDER
(all units received an additional CORROSIVE WARD
ability), and AIMLESS
(all units received an additional SCATTERSHOT
ability).
In the first round, Gargoya Lion and Radiated Brute attacked Pelacor Conjurer. However, they lost 2 ARMOR permanently due to the effect of the CORROSIVE WARD ability. Meanwhile, Scavo Firebolt and Uraeus failed to land attacks on their respective targets (Pelacor Conjurer and Adelade Brightwing). Scavo Chemist dispelled all debuffs on Gargoya Lion.
Adelade Brightwing repairs Pelacor Conjurer's ARMOR, then he and Aves Sturgis attack Radiated Brute. Pelacor Conjurer attacked Gargoya Lion and put him in RAGE mode. Meanwhile, Albahoo Forester prefers to attack Scavo Firebolt.
At the start of the second round, most of the units from both sides (those without the IMMUNITY ability or not healed by the CLEANSE
ability) lost 2 HP due to the effects of the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset. The Radiated Brute and Scorch Fiend must fall because they only have no more than 2 HP and there are still poison effects on them.
Gargoya Lion and Scavo Firebolt attacked Pelacor Conjurer. Meanwhile, Uraeus managed to land his attack on Adelade Brightwing (but he lost 2 ARMOR permanently due to the effect of CORROSIVE WARD ability)
Adelade Brightwing returned to repair the ARMOR of Pelacor Conjurer. Then he and Aves Sturgis defeated Scavo Chemist. Meanwhile, Pelacor Conjurer and Albahoo Forester attacked Gargoya Lion. Albahoo Forester previously also healed Aves Sturgis's HP.
At the start of the third round, it was the turn of Pelacor Conjurer and Scavo Firebolt* to fall due to the poison effect provided by the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset. However, Pelacor Conjurer was revived by Adelade Brightwing using the RESURRECT ability.
Gargoya Lion attacked Pelacor Conjurer again, but Uraeus again failed to hurt Adelade Brightwing. Gargoya Lion was defeated by Aves Sturgis, while Uraeus was defeated by an attack from Albahoo Forester.
Battle Review
In this battle, I could only use Albahoo Forester level 5 because the rental fee was quite expensive (if I were forced to choose level 10). Even so, at least I was able to get his second ability, the TRIAGE ability which helped a little in this battle. Albahoo Forester healed Aves Sturgis so that he could survive a little longer and defeat one of the opponent's units in the third round.
The use of Aves Sturgis to support my two No-Attack units is very appropriate because, in this battle, EARTH ELEMENT is not included in the elements that are allowed to be used. If EARTH ELEMENT could be used, the opponent would likely use Immortalis (if he has it), where the Summoner has VOID which can withstand attacks from Magic units.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
