Hello everyone, welcome to my newest segment, "BATTLE FROM THE PAST". This segment was created because when I want to make a post for another Challenge (Social media and Secret Battle Mage Challenge) I always save all the battles I win. So that when the theme is determined, I don't have to bother to do a lot of fighting again because I have saved some of them.

Since the unused battle links are piling up, I decided to create this segment to share those battles with you all. For this time, the struggle that I will be sharing is...

I use Arkemis the Bear as TANK because he has high Health points as well as other supporting abilities such as PROTECT which will give an additional 2 ARMOR to all monsters in the team, HALVING which reduces the Attack power of the target to half, FORCEFIELD which reduces the impact damage when hit by attacks from monsters that have Attack power above 4 points, and ENRAGE which will activate and give an increase in Attack power by 1.5x when his Health points are below 100%.

Then I also put Night Ghoul at the very end because he has the TAUNT ability which forces all opposing monsters (other than TANK and monsters that have the REACH ability) to target him, so monsters that have low Health points are spared from attacks made by monsters that have the OPPORTUNITY ability.

image.png

Being in the UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL Ruleset, both teams are only allowed to use Melee monsters (or dual-attack monsters that have Melee). Although some monsters have no targeting abilities, there is still the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Ruleset that will grant additional abilities in the form of OPPORTUNITY to all monsters in the battle arena.

Each monster will also get an additional DIVINE SHIELD ability from the HOLY PROTECTION ruleset so that when they are hit by the first attack, the attack will only damage the DIVINE SHIELD they received before.

In the first round, Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus attacked Disintegrator and gave him a poison effect. Cursed Windeku and Night Ghoul targeted their attacks at the opponent's Uraeus because he had the lowest Health on the opposing team. Besides the two of them, Ever-Hungry Skull tried to attack him but failed.

The Arkemis the Bear from each side attacked each other. Flying Squid and Uraeus failed to land their attacks on Night Ghoul. Meanwhile, Pelacor Bandit, Deeplurker, and Disintegrator managed to injure him and inflict poison effects.

In the second round, the targets of each monster had not changed. Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus were still targeting Disintegrator. Cursed Windeku, Ever-Hungry Skull, and Night Ghoul tried to attack Uraeus but only the attack from Cursed Windeku managed to hit him.

Flying Squid, Uraeus, Deeplurker, Pelacor Bandit, and Disintegrator directed their attacks at Night Ghoul. And of all those attacks, only the attack from Uraeus was successfully dodged. The Arkemis the Bear from both sides attacked each other.

In the third round, Night Ghoul lost due to the effects of the poison he received in the previous round. But he was revived using the RESURRECT ability possessed by Astral Entity. Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus continued to attack Disintegrator, making his health points lower than all the monsters on the opposing team. This was utilized by Ever-Hungry Skull and Cursed Windeku to defeat him.

My Arkemis the Bear successfully landed an attack on the opponent's possession. Meanwhile, my opponent's Arkemis the Bear failed to hurt mine. Night Ghoul received another attack from Pelacor Bandit, Flying Squid, and Deeplurker. Meanwhile, Uraeus who was on the opposing side, in addition to failing to land an attack, he was also defeated by Night Ghoul.

In the fourth round, Pelacor Bandit and Flying Squid managed to defeat Night Ghoul for the second time. But after that, Pelacor Bandit was defeated by the attacks of Silent Sha-vi, Uraeus, Ever-Hungry Skull, and Cursed Windeku.

Deeplurker tried to attack Ever-Hungry Skull who had the lowest Health points but failed to land on him. Meanwhile, Arkemis the Bear from each team again managed to land attacks on each other.

image.png

In the fifth round, my opponent's Arkemis the Bear failed to land an attack on mine. Meanwhile, my opponent's Arkemis the Bear and Ever-Hungry Skull managed to injure mine. Cursed Windeku also tried to attack but his attack was missed.

Deeplurker and Flying Squid* also failed to land their attacks on Ever-Hungry Skull. Meanwhile, Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus damaged Deeplurker.

image.png

In the sixth round, Flying Squid and Deeplurker still couldn't hurt Ever-Hungry Skull. That allowed Ever-Hungry Skull, Silent Sha-vi, and Uraeus to defeat Deeplurker.

Both teams' Arkemis the Bear and Cursed Windeku failed to land hits on their respective targets.

image.png

In the seventh round, Flying Squid was finally able to land his attack on Ever-Hungry Skull while Silent Sha-vi failed to land his attack on Flying Squid, causing him to take damage through his BACKFIRE ability. Uraeus attacks Flying Squid and gives it a poison effect.

Although the opponent's Arkemis the Bear landed an attack, he was eventually defeated by Arkemis the Bear and Cursed Windeku.

In the final round, Flying Squid was defeated by the poison effects and attacks from Arkemis the Bear and Silent Sha-vi.

Review

Although at the beginning of the game, all my monsters received 2 debuffs (DEMORALIZE ability) which reduced Attack power. But at the end of the game, I managed to win the battle thanks to the DODGE ability obtained from Astral Entity. In addition, the RESURRECT ability made the attention of the opponent's monsters still directed at the Night Ghoul that they previously defeated and made the position of Ever-Hungry Skull safe for a little longer.

That's one of the battles that I shared in Battle from the Past this time. Hopefully, you will get a little idea about the strategy after seeing this battle. Thank you for visiting and reading this post until the end. See you in the next post.

Very interesting battle! I like to use Arkemis as a tank, but with Equal Opportunity, I rather use him in the field - so he can half the attack of several units, instead of just bringing one monster down to 1 attack.
I never really thought of the Skull, but he seems to be quite powerful for this ruleset, but susceptible to poison. Still worth a look into it, though. Thank you!

That's because he got the DODGE ability from Astral Entity.

DODGE + FLYING ability can be a combination to reduce your opponent's accuracy. Especially if you add BLIND ability (which is also useful to reduce the opponent's accuracy, especially Melee and Ranged units) and high SPEED will make it difficult for Melee and Ranged Units to attack him (Except for units that have SNARE ability, they are 100% successful in hitting FLYING units).
