Hello everyone, welcome to my newest segment, "BATTLE FROM THE PAST". This segment was created because when I want to make a post for another Challenge (Social media and Secret Battle Mage Challenge) I always save all the battles I win. So that when the theme is determined, I don't have to bother to do a lot of fighting again because I have saved some of them.

And since the unused battle links are piling up, I decided to create this segment to share those battles with you all. And for this time, the struggle that I will be sharing is...

I relied on Arkemis the Bear to fill the first position, providing additional ARMOR to all monsters using the PROTECT ability, as well as overcoming large attacks from opposing monsters using the FORCEFIELD ability. In the last position, I use Vruz so that he can be defeated by SNEAK or OPPORTUNITY monsters so that he can give additional points to nearby monsters with the MARTYR ability.

I also brought Chaos Knight, which has the INSPIRE ability, so all my melee monsters get an extra 1 attack power. Chaos Knight also has the SHIELD ability, which can reduce the damage caused by attacks from opponent's melee and ranged monsters.

For this ruleset, there are UP AND PERSONAL, MANEUVERS, and EVEN STEVEN rulesets. That's why both sides use a lot of melee monsters.

Chaos Knight is in second position to help Arkemis the Bear attack the opponent's monster in first position. And with his SHIELD ability, he can avoid the damage he might take from THORNS or RETALIATE abilities.

In the first round, Vruz and Dhampir Infiltrator instantly defeated Torrent Fiend. Arkemis the Bear and Chaos Knight* attacked the opponent's Arkemis the Bear. The enemy's Arkemis the Bear took a lot of damage because Chaos Knight has the GIANT KILLER ability, which is quite effective when it hits Arkemis the Bear that has more than 9 mana points.

Opponent's Arkemis the Bear can only damage my Arkemis the Bear's ARMOR. Both sides' Arkemis the Bear were also HALFING , so their attack power was reduced to half. Deeplurker aimed his attack at Soul Fiend and successfully poisoned him.

The last attack of the turn was made by Drybone Raider, who could only land 1 of his 2 attacks on the opponent's Arkemis the Bear.

image.png

In the second round, Soul Fiend lost due to the effects of the poison he received in the previous round. Vruz and Dhampir Infiltrator attacked Xenith Monk. Deeplurker landed an attack on Vruz, but failed to inflict any poison effects on Vruz.

The opponent's Arkemis the Bear had attacked my Arkemis the Bear. But he was eventually defeated by the attacks of Arkemis the Bear and Chaos Knight. The Deeplurker, now in first place, only took 1 damage from the 2 attacks of Drybone Raider.

In the third round, Vruz and Dhampir Infiltrator nearly defeated Xenith Monk, who was down to 1 Health. Deeplurker and Gargoya Lion* tried to attack Arkemis the Bear, but Gargoya Lion's attack missed, while Deeplurker managed to hit him and deal a poison effect.

Deeplurker was defeated by attacks from Arkemis the Bear, Chaos Knight, and Drybone Raider. However, the second attack by Drybone Raider failed to hit Gargoya Lion, who was currently in first place.

In the fourth round, Vruz defeated Xenith Monk, and then Dhampir Infiltrator attacked Diemonshark. Arkemis the Bear attacked Gargoya Lion.

Diemonshark and Gargoya Lion were able to defeat Arkemis the Bear. The first attack of Drybone Raider and Chaos Knight failed to hit Gargoya Lion. But the second attack of Drybone Raider managed to hit it.

image.png

In the fifth round, Vruz attacked Diemonshark, but Diemonshark failed to respond with the RETALIATE ability. Meanwhile, when Dhampir Infiltrator attacked him, Diemonshark was able to defeat him with the RETALIATE ability. Diemonshark also attacked Drybone Raider directly with the TRAMPLE ability.

Chaos Knight failed to land his attack on Gargoya Lion. Meanwhile, Drybone Raider could only defeat Gargoya Lion with his 2 melee attacks.

In the sixth round, Diemonshark attacked Chaos Knight. Vruz attacked Diemonshark, but he was able to defeat it with the RETALIATE ability.

The defeat of Vruz actually gave an advantage to Drybone Raider, who received an additional 1 point due to the effect of the MARTYR ability. And it was immediately used by defeating Diemonshark with its melee attack.

Review

Fortunately, I decided to bring Chaos Knight in this battle and put him in the second position. The opponent also used Arkemis the Bear as a TANK, and that made Chaos Knight's GIANT KILLER usable and useful to help my Arkemis the Bear defeat the opponent's TANK.

Although I expected Vruz to be defeated by the monster's OPPORTUNITY (in this case it was Deeplurker), Vruz was actually defeated by Diemonshark's RETALIATE ability. On the first try, Vruz managed to dodge this ability. However, he was defeated on the second try, allowing Drybone Raider to score extra points with the MARTYR ability.

I can still accept this because I can still win the battle this time, but I feel it is lacking because Drybone Raider, who received this extra point, has shown little action.

That's one of the battles that I shared in Battle from the Past this time, hopefully you get a little idea about the strategy after seeing this battle. Thank you for visiting and reading this post until the end. See you in the next post...

Nice battle! It's always fun when it gets so close, and one little thing makes the decision :-)
