Battle from the Past (#03) : Cripple Againts Healing Abilities

Hello everyone, welcome to my newest segment, "BATTLE FROM THE PAST". This segment was created because when I want to make a post for another Challenge (Social media and Secret Battle Mage Challenge) I always save all the battles I win. So that when the theme is determined, I don't have to bother to do a lot of fighting again because I have saved some of them.

And since the unused battle links are piling up, I decided to create this segment to share those battles with you all. And for this time, the struggle that I will be sharing is...

I didn't expect that the opponent would use Moxian Rebel which is a magic monster that has WEAPONS TRAINING ability. He also brought 2 No-Attack monsters, Baakjira and Merdaali Guardian* which have healing abilities.

Besides being able to heal himself with the HEAL ability, Baakjira also has the VOID ability which can reduce the attack impact of my 2 Magic monsters (Venari Wavesmith and Musa Saline).

Unlike my opponent, I didn't bring any monsters with TANK HEAL ability to at least heal some of the Health points of Cruel Sethropod. This made Cruel Sethropod lose in 3 rounds.

Although the opponent has a healing ability, one ruleset (TIS BUT SCRATCHES) will grant the CRIPPLE ability to all monsters in the battle arena. CRIPPLE is an ability that can reduce the Max. Health of the target in each attack. And coupled with the TRUE STRIKE ability from the AIM TRUE ruleset makes the attacks of each monster from both sides unable to miss.

In the first round, Merdaali Guardian, Baakjira, and Moxian Rebel directly attacked the Health points of my Cruel Sethropod. Musa Saline attacked my opponent's Cruel Sethropod and damaged all of its ARMOR. That allowed Venari Wavesmith, Angelic Mandarin, and Igor Darkspear to instantly defeat my opponent's Cruel Sethropod.

Uraeus attacked and only damaged the ARMOR of Igor Darkspear. Meanwhile, Dhampir Infiltrator attacked Chaos Agent twice. My Cruel Sethropod could only damage the ARMOR of Baakjira.

In the second round, Merdaali Guardian, Baakjira, and Moxian Rebel attacked my Cruel Sethropod again and left me with only 1 Health point. Uraeus attacked Igor Darkspear but was healed by Angelic Mandarin.

Musa Saline, Venari Wavesmith, Angelic Mandarin, Igor Darkspear, and Cruel Sethropod attacked Baakjira. Igor Darkspear even cast STUN so that Baakjira could not use her HEAL ability. The Infiltrator defeated Chaos Agent.

In the third round, Merdaali Guardian healed the health points of Baakjira then he immediately defeated Cruel Sethropod. Uraeus defeated Igor Darkspear. Baakjira who was still affected by the STUN effect could not attack or heal himself. Moxian Rebel attacked Venari Wavesmith.

Musa Saline, Venari Wavesmith, and Angelic Mandarin attacked Baakjira. Meanwhile, Dhampir Infiltrator attacked Uraeus twice.

In the fourth round, Merdaali Guardian healed Baakjira and repaired Uraeus's ARMOR. That made Dhampir Infiltrator fail to defeat Uraeus and left him with 1 Health point. Musa Saline, Venari Wavesmith, and Angelic Mandarin attacked Baakjira again.

Venari Wavesmith was defeated by attacks from 3 opposing Magic monsters (Merdaali Guardian, Baakjira, and Moxian Rebel)

In the fifth round, even though his ARMOR was repaired by Merdaali Guardian, Uraeus could still be defeated by Dhampir Infiltrator with his DOUBLE STRIKE ability. Musa Saline and Angelic Mandarin attacked Baakjira. Merdaali Guardian, Baakjira, and Moxian Rebel attack Musa Saline.

In the sixth round, Baakjira was defeated by Musa Saline and Angelic Mandarin*. Dhampir Infiltrator attacked Merdaali Guardian. And Moxian Rebel attacked Musa Saline.

In the final round, Musa Saline and Angelic Mandarin attacked Moxian Rebel. Dhampir Infiltrator defeated Merdaali Guardian and Moxian Rebel.

Review

If it wasn't for the TIS BUT SCRATCHES ruleset, there was a possibility that the opponent could win. Because the opponent uses 2 kinds of healing abilities, namely HEAL and TANK HEAL . Although I was able to defeat the opponent's Cruel Sethropod, when Baakjira was in the first position, he was assisted by Merdaali Guardian to heal the health points of Baakjira even though one of them could not do it.

However, with the CRIPPLE ability, it will complicate the healing ability because the max. health of the target hit by CRIPPLE will continue to decrease if attacked continuously.

Unlike the monsters that have LIFE LEECH or SCAVENGER abilities that max. Health can still increase every time a monster is defeated or when it succeeds in reducing the target's Health points.
