Do not be afraid of men
**The fear of man is a constant theme throughout the Bible. It is a warning and is used only once in Proverbs 29:25. We must remember that the fear of man lays a snare and we must trust in the Lord. When we put our trust in the Lord, we are safe and protected.
Fear of man
The Bible warns us over not to let fear of man deceive us. Often times the fear of man is the root cause of poor decisions. For example, Saul was fearful of man more than he was of God, so he chose to set himself against God.
Hypocrisy
Jesus warned His disciples of the dangers of hypocrisy, pointing out that nothing can be hidden that will not be known. Even what we say in the dark will be heard in the light. Hypocrisy can breed more hypocrisy.

David
David is not yet finished with his psalm. His words still have a certain quality of fear. It is the fear of God that he is referring to. Fearing God means we should be holy and fear Him.
Peter
The Fear of Man is a major danger for Christians. It can lead to a host of negative actions, including self-pity and fear. Peter tells Christians how to deal with this threat. Instead of hiding in fear and ignoring the devil, Christians must fight back with kindness.
