My Weekend Experience with the Chess Brothers Team at the Mall
Hey how are you doing people?. I am so excited to post here in this community, this is actually my first time in the Liketu COMMUNITY so I hope share an enjoyable content for you guys.
Last Saturday I was spending some cool time with the Chess Brothers Team at the mall. We hung out with people and played chess games.
As soon as I arrived at the mall, I could feel the excitement in the air. The Chess Brothers Team had set up a pair of chessboards in the middle of the mall, and people of all ages and backgrounds were gathered around, eagerly waiting to play a game or two :). The idea of this kind of activity is tryng to attract more players and patiently growing up this amazing sport.
Of course, I couldn't resist joining in on the fun so I played several games with different people during the whole evening. I can say that time flies when you play chess.
As Chess Brothers Team, we were always available to answer questions, offer tips, and make sure that everyone was having a good time.
I have to say that to make all this possible a few days ago I talked to the Director and he allowed us to stay there. The reason why I decided to go to the mall and play chess is because this kind of initiative has a tremendous potential.
I mean, bringing chess to a high-traffic location like a shopping mall has several advantages and significant importance. The first thing that I got to bring to the table is it allows chess, a game that is often seen as "traditional and niche", to be showcased to a wider audience. By doing this, it can be demonstrated that chess is an exciting and engaging game that can be enjoyed by different people. In another words, our idea is that people realize that the game of chess is a game that is available to everyone.
In addition, holding a "chess meeting" at a mall provides an opportunity to find potential new supporters for the game. Mall-goers who may not have otherwise been exposed to chess can see the game being played and learn about the benefits of it, such as improving cognitive skills and critical thinking.
Also it can attract the attention of sponsors who may be interested in supporting further events or chess in general. By presenting the game in a public space, it can spark interest and lead to potential partnerships or sponsorships.
In my humble opinion this acitivity was a huge success and we'll keep doing it in the near future. By the way, the lighting here was just stunning and that helped to shoot cool pictures, I mean a lot.
The pictures were shot by me and a friend with my Sony ZVE10 (16-50 mm Lens)

What a great activity. A way to bring people closer to chess. My son has been practicing it for a year. Here in Margarita they take a mall every other Saturday to hold tournaments, especially for children.
Super cool. It's a great opportunity to get the game to the next level in terms of audience. So nice to know your son is on the 64 squares
