Venessa Seramik Art Gallery - Turkey

Traveling to Turkey is not only about nature tourism but also about study tours. This is our travel story in Cappadocia. At that time, Cappadocia was a destination on everyone's bucket list, so when we reached Cappadocia we were very happy. However, at that time the weather was not conducive so we could not see the beautiful hot air balloon.

In addition, we visited a ceramic gallery. It was Venessa Seramik Gallery. Our tour guide said that this is one of the supports from the Turkish government to improve local businesses so that anyone who gets a free visa to Turkey is required to visit the ceramic gallery.

Venessa Seramik Art Gallery

Vanessa Seramik Art Gallery is a pottery shop located in Avanos, Cappadocia Turkey. In this gallery, we were shown how potters create their masterpieces. They demonstrated the making of ceramics while explaining the details of the materials they use, as well as the steps until the pottery is ready to be sold. The demonstration lasted for more than 1 hour. I felt like turning the pottery-making tool too.

Although Vanessa Seramik is a pottery shop, it is a closed and tightly guarded shop. Not just anyone can enter. There are rules that they enforce, namely not being allowed to take photos and videos in the shop. This is because the design of their ceramics has a sacred and historical meaning for the Turkish people. So it is not allowed to take photos because of fear that the design will be copied.

This is a picture of when the pottery was made. It was very similar to the demonstration they presented to us. Meanwhile, the picture below is the picture when the real potter demonstration of making-pottery.

In addition to seeing a demonstration of pottery making, we were also invited to see the processing of a pottery before it was finally displayed in the shop. In this processing section, we were allowed to take photos, so the photos you will see below are legal photos.

  • The Design

The designs below are very sacred and meaningful designs. If I remember correctly, the designs on these plates have a meaningful philosophy of well-being and prosperity.

Vanessa Seramik Art Gallery has lots of beautiful designs. They sell tableware. I was impressed by all handmade art there, so I bought a mug and a mini bowl.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
