Gladiators Arena in Hierapolis , Turkey
Gladiators Arena in Hierapolis, Turkey
Our tour guide said that the place we were going to visit was a place similar to ruins, but there was ancient Roman history in that place. It was the palace of Hierapolis.
Hierapolis
Hierapolis is one of the ancient cities that has become ruins today. Even so, this area is still guarded and cared for so that it can remain a legacy for their children and grandchildren in the future. So I am very happy to be one of the people who can see ancient Roman history, even though only the ruins remain.
This is the entrance gate to hierapolis which is very closely guarded by the Turkish government. Because this is a tourist destination, to enter there a shelter is provided first before entering. The shelter contains a food and souvenir shop for visitors.
The weather around Hierapolis was not that cold but we still have to wear warm clothes.
After passing through the security check, we were been treated to a very wide courtyard, but we have not yet arrived at the place where the ancient city is located. This is just the front of the area. Looks, it was a very spacious place.
To reach the ancient city, transportation is needed. Because there were 15 of us, we rented a car that could transport us all at once. Because the car had already been paid for, I couldn't choose, even though I wanted to ride in the small cars that were lined up in the yard.
This is the view seen from inside the car. Indeed, everything looks like a pile of broken stones, but the vibe of an ancient Roman city is still there.
The fun thing is, I can see hot air balloons here. Even though I could only see 1 hot air balloon, it was more than enough because in Cappadocia there are no hot air balloons being flown.
Now here we go, looking around the Gladiators fought Arena.
Gladiators fought Arena
This gladiator fighting venue is very large and spacious. It looks so small, but it is a very steep building. When going down it, you have to be really careful because if you slip a little, not only will you get hurt, your body might also be torn apart.
I also had a really hard time going down it. Just reaching the first part requires extra caution and a lot of time. Because of that, I didn't go down to the bottom because it would require a huge amount of energy to climb back up.
From this I knew about this gladiator arena is very strong in terms of development. Just imagine, this was built hundreds of years ago and is still strong today.
Hierapolis is a great place to visit. Unfortunately our time there was limit, if not, might be I would lying down while see the hot air baloons there.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong, welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
One word for the gladiators fought arena is "Epic"
so beautiful like a wow.
