Start With 3.5KM This Week | First Running in This Month
Yesterday, I do my first run after hiatus two weeks. I take a break for two weeks because I have to take a rest after Digiland Run 10KM in the end of July. Besides, my schedule of work is always in the noon till the night so I can not do run for a long time. It's because I prefer running in the afternoon than the morning.
So yesterday I came to Gelora Bung Karno main stadion for starting my exercise. Coincidently, I am free so I do it in the afternoon, around 5 P.M. So here my story...
After take a break, my leg is getting weak, and my breathe getting heavy. This is my first lap, I thought I'm dying. My friends said that might be I less warmup so It's so heavy to do running in the first lap. Cause I can't handle my first lap, I take a rest and eating Banana. After take a rest, I continued my race. It's better but I still feel heavy. I don't what was wrong because for accomplished 3.50 KM It's so hard to do. I will find it later.
- A Better Result
This is my result after continued my race. It's about 3 laps with 3.50 KM. What I observed was my pace is better, my Cut Of Time is better. I can accomplished my 3.50 KM still on 27.41 minutes which is in after take a rest my speed was improved. 17 minutes 41 second for 2.50 KM based on my watch.
every time I run, I use the Strava app, but for some reason my Strava app is not accurate in calculating distance and pace. The difference is very obvious with what is recorded from my watch. I also made a comparison with my race event two weeks ago. I should have run 11km, but my Strava app only counted 6KM. What a big gap.
result of DIGILAND 10K
result my current run
Here the result from another application: Addidas Run. The result is still different with my watch but for the distance there is no big gap, but the pace is weak. I decided to trust my watch :D
Me after cooling down in the edge of Gelora Bung Karno's Stadion. How about your race? Are you found out the difficultness or is that easy to do 3.50 km?
Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!
See you on the next post...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.

I think resting 2 weeks after 10K is too much, even for beginners. I think you didn't train well for that race and that can bring injuries. You should run more often and only run 10K when you are ready. Go up the kilometers weekly or monthly, but run at least 3 times a week. We are glad to have you here 😁
My friend said so. I am also think that I should run 3 times a week so that I can not get injuries or heavy for running.
thanks a buck, your advice is precious for me..
Hi, congratulations for your discipline but I think you should train at least 3 times a week even if it is 3 kilometers, the difference between the watch and strava is because strava is in Mile and the watch is in kilometer, in Strava settings check Display and in the unit of measurement select Metric.
wah, thanks for your information. Now I know why...
