Hello SplinterFans, I hope that you are all doing great, fighting and winning one glorious battle after another on the battlefields of Splinterlands...

I have been playing Splinterlands since June 2018, and I have been building a decent deck, with a decent collection power, power enough to be competative in the Gold or Diamond league. My collection is currently worth around $3,000 according to Peakmonsters.

My son has his own account, that he has been managing for around a year or so. He has reached a collection power of 21,400, enough to play around in the Bronze league, earning a small amount of rewards. His cards are definitely not powerful enough to be competative in Silver or higher....or at least, that's what I thought...

Comparing the two accounts

Something very strange is happening, and I really need some explanation, because this doesn't make sense to me at all...
Maybe one of you can explain what is going on, or maybe I'll have to reach out to the @Splinterlands team to get an explanation...I'll present two pictures below, so you can see for yourselves what the issue is...

Above, I am presenting a screenshot of my sons account. As you can see, It has a collection power of 21,400, and is currently playing in the Diamond II league, with a rating of 3,100.
According to Peakmonsters, the account value is currently $ 63.20!
The winrate this season is 52,2% out of 364 battles.
When I look at the battles that have been played this season, a lot of the battles, startercards have been used!

How is this possible????

As you can see on the picture above, I am currently playing in the Diamond I league with a rating of 3,460, my collection power is 560,945. My winrate this season is 51,6% out of 366 battles. According to Peakmonsters, my account value is currently $2,924.

How can it be that we are so evenly ranked??

Both accounts are being played by Xbot this season, maybe someone from the @xbot team can explain this??

As an "old" player, with a decent deck, this scenario acually frustrates me a bit....my son thinks it's hilarious, and I guess that this could give some hope for new players, the fact that you are able to go very far with very little invested in the game...

One thing that my son doesn't think is funny though is the fact that he's currently not able to earn any reward chests (that's actually the biggest motivational driver for him, to open chests every day), due to the lack of enough staked SPS (he currently has under 2,000 SPS staked)....But he was never intended to go this far..!!..

I really hope that someone can explain this, (maybe @yabapmatt??)...is this due to the changes in the ranking system that was made recently, or is there another explanation??
