Bitcoin Drivechains - A controversial proposal to improve the functionality of the Bitcoin network | Sidechains: BIP300 and BIP 301 Protocols

It is increasingly seen that Bitcoin is a land on which to build. We had recently seen the creation of recursive registrations of Ordinals after the implementation of the so-called BRC-69 standard, which allowed in some way to create assets similar to NFTs among other types of files such as melodies. Of course, the great benefit was the cost, because the reduction in the size of the blocks was something outstanding since the advantages of recursion were taken advantage of, and obviously, the expense of what would be the registrations represented a lower value in the rates of the Bitcoin network.

Eso sí, el gran beneficio era el costo, pues la reducción en el tamaño de los bloques fue algo sobresaliente ya que se aprovechaba las ventajas de la recursión, y obviamente, el gasto de lo que serían las inscripciones representaban un menor valor en las tarifas de la red de Bitcoin.

The BIP 300 and BIP 301 protocols would allow for a native Bitcoin sidechain that would allow BTC to connect to separate chains and not have the trust of this chain. In my opinion, and coinciding with the CEO, I feel that the MEV (Extractable Value for Miners) would be drastically reduced, affecting the economy as well as mining rewards if this situation were to occur.

Tony Cai, el CEO de Atomic Finance sostiene que está interesado en la forma en que las drivechain logren estimular la innovación en base a Bitcoin pero tiene preocupaciones respecto a la seguridad y economía, como por ejemplo que los mineros comiencen a tomar prioridad sobre la sidechain para el proceso de las transacciones en vez de hacerlo sobre la red principal. En mi opinión y coincidiendo con el CEO, siento que el MEV (Valor Extraíble por los Mineros) se vería drásticamente reducido afectando la economía como también las recompensas de minado si esta situación se sucediera.
