Flood disaster that occurred today ( 05 October 2022 )

Good morning all friends, greetings to all of us, may we always be given health and success.

As for this opportunity, I will again try to share some photos of today's incident that hit my area, namely the flood disaster, this time the flood disaster hit several areas in my area, Indonesia (Aceh) more precisely in Matang Kuli and its surroundings.

because a few days ago I had an activity outside the area and this morning I just got home and I saw so much water pooled there, and I tried to tell one of the local people about this flood incident, and he stated that this river water it started to evaporate around 03 am and the current was very strong which made the water overflow so fast, in some of my photos below there are several vehicles that want to cross the road where there is a lot of water but are still unsure whether to pass it or not

Because the river water is very fast and makes the water on the streets more and more, and some local residents take this opportunity to earn a little fortune by helping pass the motorbikes of motorists who want to cross using a car with a one-way price of Rp. 15,000 for one motorbike or equivalent to $1

but there were also some residents who were desperate to break through the flood with their motorbikes but there were some who managed to pass and there were also some whose motorbikes died because the water was too high and entered the motorbike engine so that the motorbike died

I also saw that there were several motorbikes that died when they passed the current and had to be taken to a motorbike repair shop to do some problems such as changing the oil and several others.

I also took some photos of the housing of residents who live on the edge of the road which has been flooded and almost half of their houses are inundated with water

after that i tried to another road which is very close to the river embankment to see the overflow of the water which is almost full which is accommodated by the river and if this embankment breaks of course a big disaster will happen

The rain was so heavy, the wind was very strong from yesterday afternoon until this morning making the river water full and because some sides did not have good embankments so the water overflowed into the settlements of residents living in the area, as for some of the info I got flooded today happened in several areas (North Aceh) but I couldn't cross all the areas because there were some areas where the water was already very deep

As for the flood disaster, this is not something new for the people around here, they always feel moments like this every 2 or 3 times a year, but for the handling, no one has been able to handle this flood problem, which is very unfortunate, namely the surrounding community who have to leave their homes. to evacuate to a refugee place so that they can rest in peace there, and hopefully the water will recede soon and I can return home and community activities will also return to normal as usual

that's what I can share today, hopefully this flood waters will recede quickly and the rain won't fall heavily because I'm very sorry to see local residents whose assets have been flooded, of course there are a lot of losses received by local residents for this disaster.
