Blog#2 - Heading to the historical place (Batu Hanging) of Lake Toba
This is a continuation of my first post a few days ago where I and my other colleagues will board a boat and visit one of the historical places on the shores of Lake Toba (Batu Gantung), to be honest, this is our first experience here and definitely a little nervous when boarding the ship
The fare per person to board the boat round trip is thirty rima thousand rupiah, in my opinion that is cheap considering the time it takes to travel there is so long, my friend and I immediately boarded the boat after paying for the ticket.
one of my friends had a seat upstairs, because the weather was a little hot I just chose downstairs
because on Sunday there are so many visitors from various cities who come, you can see the boat behind me is also full of passengers and ready to go, while the boat we use is just for us, there are around 50 people who go there
Our ship immediately proceeded at a leisurely pace, because this was my first month taking photos of several other colleagues
I also took several shots of the view of the edge of Lake Toba, there were a few waves there, and the ship was rocking a little
After about thirty minutes of travel, we finally arrived at our destination, namely the hanging rock on the hill on the edge of Lake Toba
I don't know where the hanging stone in question is located. According to local residents, the stone is a historical story where a child disobeyed his parents and was cursed to become a stone. I don't know for sure about it. That history, true or not, only local people know better
I also took several shots towards the hills and other beautiful natural views
there are so many buildings built on the hill
I acted as if I was pointing towards the building even though I was a little scared because I was standing on the edge of the boat
When I looked in another direction, it turned out that this place also provided a small boat along with a photographer. They went to this place to immortalize their beautiful moments here while wearing life jackets.
What shocked me here was that there were three small children who used a rowing boat to visit this place without parental supervision and they didn't even use safety gear, maybe because they were used to it that's why they dared
Two of them had gone down into the water and only one was left rowing
do you know where he went after getting off the boat? It turns out he approached our boat while shouting (throw uncle) we didn't realize what the child meant until one of my friends explained that they asked us to throw money at them, and they would take it,Isn't this a dangerous act?
another boat also arrived at that place and the little children immediately approached the boat, I hope that they are always protected, they are that small but they have a way to earn money, this is life
Finally we left the place with so many memories of the beautiful things we saw
After traveling for another thirty minutes we finally arrived at our next destination
This is the parking area for the boat we were riding along with other boats
this is the excitement of my trip today, I will continue my journey in the next post, there are many beautiful and interesting things that I will share while on the island, see you in my next post.
