Strelitzia reginae - Ave del Paraiso

Today I came across this beautiful flower that I didn't really know its name, but I was able to research its name thanks to our dear friend Google. This beautiful flower is called Strelitzia reginae (scientific name) and in Latin America it is known as bird of paradise. Probably because it has a beautiful physiognomy and because its petals simulate the body of an exotic bird.

I would also like to point out that its petals are similar to artificial petals, they look like plastic because of their great hardness and rigidity.

Hoy me he encontrado esta linda flor que, en realidad, no sabía cómo se llamaba, pero he podido investigar su nombre gracias a nuestro querido amigo Google. Esta hermosa flor se llama Strelitzia reginae (nombre científico) y en Latinoamérica se le conoce como ave del paraíso. Seguramente, porque tiene una bonita fisionomía y porque sus pétalos simulan el cuerpo de una ave exótica.

También quiero destacar que sus pétalos son similares a los pétalos artificiales, parecieran de plástico por su gran dureza y rigidez.
