The Unforgettable Joys of Celebrating My Birthday: A Heartfelt Thank You

One of the most remarkable days of my life usually happens to be my birthday, and that's because everyone around me tends to make me feel special, loved, and appreciated. It's just overwhelming, and I can't help but stand in awe at the amount of love I get from my friends and family each time I celebrate my birthday. Today happens to be my birthday, and although we're halfway through the day, the amount of love I've received literally moves me to tears, and I just want to say a big thank you to everyone.

Through the years, I always tried to keep my birthday a secret and not reveal it to anyone, but one way or another, it seems as though some of my friends and loved ones already had the date in mind and wouldn't even let it skip their minds, and even a day before my birthday, I was already receiving gifts from friends and students who thought yesterday was my birthday. I had thought today would be like every other day prior to this, but my sister had other plans, as she called me on the phone and insisted I come home to our family house immediately after work today, as they'll be celebrating my birthday in grand style.

I remember last year I told her I didn't want to celebrate anything, but before you know it, my sister @florries made a cake and even did a cake parfait to celebrate my birthday, giving everyone something to eat and drink as my birthday was marked. It was a thing of joy, and I was really overwhelmed that even though I didn't even give her a penny, she did all that to celebrate me and make me feel special, and this year again, she's at it, as my niece already told me some of her plans and even sent me pictures on WhatsApp of what they're planning, and now my sister already made small chops and is planning to make another cake this year too.

Well, that's until then, when I go home after work today. On the other hand, here at work, students gave me a brand new pressing iron as a birthday gift, and I'm really surprised at how they knew about it, although in the end they didn't get the date as they gave me the gift on the 15th. But then I later found out they got to know from my colleagues who were supposed to travel today, which made her give me the gift a day earlier. I got an electric kettle from her as my birthday present.

All of this is overwhelming because it's been a while since I got a gift from anyone for my birthday, aside from cakes and the like, but it seems this particular birthday is going to be awesome even though we've not even begun the party proper. I'm grateful to everyone who has already made my day special to this point, as well as saying a big thank you to those who will later today.

Thanks so much for the love, and may we all have reasons to celebrate always. Happy birthday to me, and more years to celebrate good health and wealth.
