Personal Reflection on Conspiracy Theories
Growing up, we were made to believe loads of lies and information as true, while they aren't actually what was said they're. We probably believe most of theses because we're young, naive, and tend to believe the words of adults, and these lead to many, including me, believing in different conspiracy theories that, when we look back now, I can't help but wonder how I even believed such in the first place. Well, today I'll walk you through some of such conspicuous theories and my perspective about them.
I can remember as far back as when I could differentiate between my right and my left, we were told by adults that we shouldn't touch a girl, nor should the girl touch a boy because that will lead to pregnancy, and for about a long time we actually believed that and abstained from touching the other gender of our age grade for fear of not getting them pregnant, but then it's quite funny now because I kind of look at it and wonder how we believe such.
I mean, we were told that if we touch a girl, she'll get pregnant, and yet we touch our siblings, elders, sisters, and aunts, and yet nothing happens. We probably didn't think that far to know it's all a lie that's aimed at not letting us indulge in immoral acts at our age, but then I guess they should have done better by educating us about sex education than just cooking up a conspiracy theory to make us move away from such.
Well, when talking about one of the conspiracy theories I actually did believe for a long time, I'll say most are from my childhood because nowadays I'm not much of a believer and tend to doubt the authenticity of everything around me, and that's why most of the history of conspiracy theories I believe dates back to when I was young, and one of them is regarding crossing the leg of a pregnant woman.
Back there there's this wide spread theory that if you walk across the leg of a pregnant woman, then such a woman will go on to give birth to a child that not only picks after your character but also looks like you, and this kind of freaks us out, because one of the thoughts that used to come to my mind is what would happen if the human of such a lady discovered his child looks like someone else, and so because of that we just try to walk around where a pregnant woman sits and spreads her legs on our way, then walk across it and let such a conspiracy happen.
I guess one other reason why we believe this is because even most of those pregnant women would react angrily whenever you walk across her leg, shouting at the top of their voices like, You this stubborn boy, how dare you walk across my leg? Do you want me to give birth to someone as troublesome as you're? Don't ever try such again with me, or else I'll deal with you mercilessly. So these kinds of inflict fear in us and as well increase our belief in the efficacy of the theory, not knowing it's not true.
Well, no one needs to tell me it was false before I realized it was; I just naturally deduced the truth as I grew in age and wisdom and was somewhat angry we were made to believe such a crab, but then my mind also found a way to defend them by concluding that such conspiracy theory would have been told to children in order to limit the rate at which they play and run around pregnant women so as not to hit them and hurt them, and this kind of works because we just always walk far away from most pregnant women then, with a different intention though, but I think it all works together for the good of the pregnant women and their child.
In conclusion, while most of the conspiracy theories we were told as a child had other intentions why they were introduced, I think it's best to say things the way they're to a child than sugarcoat them with lies, because in the long run, Such will grow up and find out and might go on to think it's okay to fabricate things just to achieve their own agenda. Aside from that, these lead to division and insurgency in some countries, so false news isn't always a good thing, and that's why it's best we verify and fact-check everything we read or hear before spreading or believing them.

Hahaha 😝. Big time conspiracy @vickoly . But it was indeed the other way round.
The elderly used this conspiracy to make the young stay safe and not enter into trouble. Nice one here ❤️
It was funny, but then I get to understand their reasons when I grew up.
Thanks to 21st Century era. Nothing is hidden again.
That touching thing can't work with these gen-Z's you will have to explain the whole pregnancy process to them with examples before they might believe
Hehehe everything is now being aired on TV and smartphone for them to see, unlike our days when such isn't around much.
Yeah right, that's also true
You got the 10k $LEO delegation from me this month. Enjoy and use them wisely
Some pregnant women will even tell you to cross back and walk the right way and if you don't, it's trouble. They so much believe that conspiracy so much. Thinking about it now, it's just funny even though we are now cautious of walking across someone when they sit and cross their leg because it is seen as disrespect to do such.
