Champions League Final || A date with destiny
The UEFA Champions League final comes up on Saturday between the premier giant Manchester City and Inter Milan of Italy. It's one of the biggest games of the season, and many are already anticipating the day. While City are in the race to win their first European trophy, Inter Milan, on the other hand, are aiming to make this their fourth. But aside from all of this, a lot is also associated with the match because some see it as one of the things that'll determine the next Balon d'Or winner.
As a football lover, I can't wait for this day. Though I would have loved Manchester City to win, we still can't downplay Milan, especially with how good they are defensively, but at least City are also exceptional upfront. One thing that would make this match more interesting is the alleged curse that was said to have been placed on City by their ex-player Yaya Toure, It has worked against them in the past, and now that he claims to have lifted the curse, I can't wait to see if they'll finally win the league.
Like I said earlier, many have seen this as a match that'll decide who wins the Balon d'Or, and some believe if Haaland can win the Champions League alongside the other two he already has, Then he deserves it because of his goals, but is that truly all there is to check before awarding such a prestigious award to an individual?
On the other hand, Others believe Messi should win it because of how he led his country to win the World Cup and how he helped PSG win the league and another local cup within the season, but are those also enough to give him the prestigious award for the 8th time?
When we look at their performance individually, we can see that they both did exceedingly well, Haaland in terms of goals mostly and Messi in terms of goals and assists, but when you put those statistics together, we'll notice the total of their goals and assists isn't too far from each other, so they did well, well we'll have to wait at the mercy of the qualified voters to know who'll come out victorious.
It all boys down to the UCL final, so let see how it'll turn out.
Thanks for your time, have a blessed and productive day ahead.

I am looking forward to the final as well and it would be incredible to see Manchester City win the title. The team has been exceptional but my love for inter-milan wouldn't just let me hand over the title to Manchester City and it will definitely be a tough encounter for the two sides.
Bringing Halaand to the table for Balon D Or or is something I find improper, yes he has scored goals but look at Messi's stats.
Inter Milan has a World Cup winner as well, what happens to him if he goes on to win the Champions League? I am rooting for Kevin De Bruyne, the man behind Manchester's success so far and if any player deserves a Balon D Or in the city, it should be him.
Well that's true I'm the champions League is coming on even though I wish Manchester City will win it. I still know it's going to be the hard one.
Well we can't totally downplay Haaland performance, because he's one of the notable people that has helped City in this season with his goals, so he deserve to be in the picture, but like you said I also feel that isn't enough I mean I look at 2018 season, Messi has the highest goal among all contestants and about three trophies and yet he was placed in number 5 in the Balon d'ro for that year.
You're right De Bruyne did good but I don't think his performance this season is that exceptional like it used to be, I mean he was injured for most part of the season and hardly play all the games yes I know he's too good but nay.
