A Holiday Season Act of Kindness

In this world we live in, we're meant to be there for one another, to be a shoulder for someone to lean from, to be a comforting voice that cleans away the fears, pains and tears of others. In this world, we all need each other to survive, and it's those little things and acts of compassion that run right through our hearts into our acts that make the world a better place. During this holiday season, I want to impact lives, and below is how I plan on doing that.

For the past few months, I've been very attentive to two individuals I see almost every week, and each time I see them, I usually notice something odd about them, which I wish I could change, but each time I have that thought, another thought of how it'll look and how they'll take it as made me refrain from doing such, but I guess with the new-found desire this topic brought, I'll just do it either way.

So who are those two individuals, and what's the thing I noticed about them each time I saw them? , You need not worry any longer about those questions if that's the question boiling within you ever since I first mentioned it, so without further ado, come along as I share it all with you.

So one of these individuals is an elderly man who stays in my neighborhood, while the other is also a man who attends the same church as I do, and what I usually notice about them each time I see them is how badly torn their shoes are, and despite the bad conditions of these shoes, they seem to wear them continuously, meaning that's probably all they have when it comes to footwear.

I most likely noticed this more than everyone else because I'm a cobbler who's built and fixed shoes, and I've always nurtured the mindset of making a shoe and gifting both of them at one point or another, but each time I nurtured that thought, another thought that came to mind was what If they missed interpreting my act and thought I mocked them by getting them something better, well, I've decided to just do it because, had I been them one who received such, I might feel down that someone noticed my flaws, but then I'll be excited that they at least help out.

So going forward, during this Christmas and holiday season, I've made up my mind to make those men wear footwear freely so they'll have something more good and decent to wear around and to church. It's not nice seeing how badly torn the shoe is, how their feet touch the ground, and also how their toes pee out even while they're still wearing the bad shoes and walking around.

I've not really begun this project, but I guess when I pay a visit to the market to purchase footwear materials for my upcoming footwear making for customers, I'll add theirs to the list of items for my purchase, and then I can come back home to help them make something decent that they can change into and wear around rather than these bad ones they're popular for.

I hope they will love it and my act and not see anything bad in it, because I don't like hurting people's feelings, so let's see how it goes as I impact their lives with my little act of care and compassion to impact their lives in this aspect.
