A Tale of Two Employers the good and the bad.
Lets see the negative one first, because after all we all know that the bad things are the easiest things to remember. This particular boss was, let’s say, a master at the fine art of owing salaries. You’d think he invented the concept! He didn’t just owe, though—he owned the attitude that came with it. I remember the first time I cautiously asked about my salary, like a child asking for a toy they know they aren’t getting. His response? "I don’t have money, don’t disturb me." It wasn’t even the lack of money that shocked me—it was the audacity. Imagine being told, to your face, “I’m not ready to pay you, and there’s nothing you can do about it. I stood there thinking, Wow, this is bold. Does he get a medal for this level of shame less ness?*

The very first time he paid me he only gave me a little less than half of what he owed me. Half! And of course, no mention of the remaining balance. There was no “Sorry about this, or “I’ll get you the rest soon. Nope, just the silence of a man who clearly knew I wouldn’t even dare ask. And honestly, I didn’t. I knew the response I would get, and I just didn’t have the strength for another round of “I don’t have money” nonsense. So, I let it go. An occasional peace is better than a fight you know you cannot win. After that, I knew it was time to leave. At a job where the boss thinks he's doing you a favor by paying you. No, thank you.
Don't get me wrong my current boss is a breath of freash air. She’s the complete opposite of my former employer. First of all, she pays on time, every time. And believe me, there’s something magical about working for someone who understands that you’re not working for free! Beyond that, she’s kind, approachable, and treats us like family. It’s not just the pay—it’s the way she creates an environment where you feel seen, heard, and appreciated. She never lets you feel like just an employee checking off tasks. Almost like having a big sister looking out for you. It’s the little things too—she’ll check in on us, ask how we’re doing, and actually care about the answer. Imagine that!

Working with her makes me want to stay in this job for a long time, and that’s not something I could’ve said about the salary-hoarder boss. The funny thing is that it only takes one person to make you change your attitude about your job. With her, I wake up looking forward to work. With the old boss, I was constantly dreaming of running away.
So yes, I’ve experienced both kinds of bosses. One who made me question my sanity, and one who makes me want to stay. It's all about the way that they treat you, (not only as an employee, but as a human being) if you ask me. A good boss makes you feel like part of a team, while a bad one makes you feel like part of a scam.

Thank you!
I wonder how people feel comfortable to make others work for them to make profit but don't pay them for their efforts, so annoying.
Good you have great boss now, enjoy hehe!
Some people are just wicked.
Thanks.
