Simple Homemade Donut Recipe

Hearing the name donut must be familiar, right? Because, this soft food is very popular with many people, especially children and myself heheh, because of its sweet taste, soft and tender texture, and the right taste so that donut lovers come from various age groups.
Donuts are generally made from a mixture of wheat flour, eggs, milk, and potatoes. Then kneaded using a machine until it becomes a smooth dough.
However, donuts can also be made without a mixture of potatoes, eggs, milk and can be kneaded manually by hand, if you want to enjoy them together at home. Although some of the ingredients are not used and kneaded by hand, these donuts are still soft and tender, no less delicious than donuts sold outside hehe. Here are the ingredients and steps in making simple donuts that you can try at home:
- 250 grams of wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon instant yeast (fermipan)
- 1/2 tablespoon SP
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 150 ml water
Topping ingredients
- Chocolate bars (melted)
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Colorful sprinkles
First step: Activate the yeast, pour warm water (lukewarm) into a glass, add fermipan and granulated sugar, stir until dissolved. Let stand for 10 minutes or until foamy.
Second step: Prepare a large bowl and add the wheat flour, pour the yeast solution into it, stir well and add sp/tbm (which makes the donuts soft) knead until smooth.
Third step: Add margarine and salt, knead again until completely smooth or until it no longer sticks to your hands.
Fourth step: Cover the dough with a cloth and wait for it to rise for 1 hour.
Step five: After the dough has doubled in size, deflate the dough as in the beginning and knead it briefly. Divide the dough into several equal parts.
Step six: round the dough and place it in a place that has been lined with flour so that the donut dough does not stick. Cover with a cloth for about 5 minutes.
Step seven: after the dough has risen, make a hole in the donut with your index finger, don't forget to sprinkle your index finger with flour so that it doesn't stick when making the hole in the donut.
Step eight: after it has risen, cover the dough again for only 5 minutes so that it doesn't rise too much. Heat the oil, fry slowly in hot oil but use medium heat, turn once when it is cooked and browned, remove. Do this until the donut dough runs out. Add toppings according to taste.
Well, here it is! Delicious, soft, and fluffy donuts are ready.
From this one donut recipe I got 18 plump donuts, the texture of this donut is very soft, when cut it is really soft and light in the mouth when chewed even without eggs and milk or a mixer in the making process but the taste is soft and tender, no less delicious than donuts sold outside. For the topping, I use melted chocolate and a little sprinkle to make it look sweeter and some also use chocolate sprinkles to vary the taste.
