Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly (June 30 - June 6) + Brawl Report

Greetings everyone, how is everybody doing this week? Today big changes are coming to Splinterlands. SPS staking multiplier is live and we no longer be on Card Power for determining the league we will be playing in. Things will be shaken up for sure. I will discuss a little about the changes in today's post on top of the cards I manage to get and brawl report for PIZZA 2.

With Card Power (CP) requirements abolished, I will just share the cards that I get throughout the week from chest.

Summary
Plenty of cards gotten this week especially with EOS. Glad to see 2 more new GF soul bound common cards. A good closure to the season as well with 13 SPS gained in EOS chest. Still praying hard for Legendary soul bound cards to appear.

80 more SPS to go to truly be in silver league. I started playing a few games and I can feel the reduced SPS rewards.

What Is Happening Now?
SPS Staking Multiplier
If you have not heard about it, SPS staking multiplier has started. Card power is no longer the limiter for the league that we play in. But rather the amount of SPS we have staked. We can now play in higher leagues but if the amount of SPS staked is lower, the rewards from each match will be significantly reduced.

So in order to get more rewards, we need to have more SPS staked.

SPS Rental Market
With that daunting multiplier table, many of us would be frantically thinking and finding means to get more SPS. But fret not, the developers have something for us, the SPS Rental Market.

In the past, we rent cards, now we can rent SPS. This whole ecosystem shift will cause a big shakeup for all players. I will be monitoring the whole situation to find the best way for me and probably share in the next update.

Brawl Report
Time for some brawl action! Let's take a look look at the matches I played this brawl. As usual, I am anchoring Fray 3 for my guild which is the Novice Chaos Legion Fray, so cards will be at lowest form without additional levelled up stats/abilities.

It was a tough selection on my end especially when it is for odd mana cards. I picked what I had and hope they will do what they need to do and win the match.

Outcome: Lost. Speed was the issue, I didn't realize the cards that I picked were all of lower speed and that cost me the match.

The plan is to hold off the front with thorns and use Uraeus to smash the backline.

Outcome: Win! Strategy worked, Windeku just shaved off Chaos Knight while Uraeus take care of everything behind.

When I saw what my opponent chose, I knew I made a bad choice, my cards chosen were all so squishy and will get smashed easily.

Outcome: Lose. Bad judgement call from me to fill my lineup with squishy cards.

Interestingly, my opponent fielded 2 attackers, I filled in one because of Life Sap can handle a reflect. Then loaded the rest heavy archers with Ravenhood to give protection.

Outcome: Win! Strategy worked with every component doing what they need to. Protect, snipe and sneak.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and I won 3 of them (including 1 fled) and lost 2. Some lesson learn was to not forget about stats when it comes to back to basics and to remember that speed is key.

We are back on the podium at rank 3. Still a mountain to climb with a difference of 11 wins amongst us and the top guild. It's a learning process and let's continue to get better fellow guild members. Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
SPS staking multiplier is here now and SPS is key. Time to find ways to get more SPS and bring up the multiplier. Things are shaking up right now as players works on the optimal condition for their account. A new chapter unfolds for Splinterlands.
