Social Media Challenge: Rebellion is Here! Analyse The Starters Part 2

Greetings to all, hope your week went well. In last week's post, with the starter cards change to cycle out Untamed cards to Rebellion cards inclusion, I started to dive into learning more about the new starter cards. I hoped that last week's post was beneficial to you and without further ado, let's start for this week and look 3 more new starter cards.

Card Review

TORCH MYRMIDON

Discussion:
Interesting, a fire non melee tank. Right at level 1, it already come with Close Range and Flank. As it levels up, it gains more attack, become faster and gains more health, which is in the correct direction of a tank. Another ability gained at level 6 will be the Shatter which I think is good because of the cards high speed which allow it to Shatter opponent armour early.

Next I want to talk about the Flank ability which I think will be good to enable another card at position that do not have Reach to gain Reach and contribute to smashing the front.

Assessment:
I think this a rather decent card that can be used for tank especially when there is thorns that you expect to face. However, there are many amazing Fire tanks from the likes of the cheap and good Antoid Platoon to the blood lusting Grum Flameblade to compete for that first position. Nevertheless, at higher levels, I think it is a worthy card to develop where the card adds Shatter to its arsenal.

FLAME MEPHIT

Discussion:
A flying range card. Not a bad thing to have especially when you need something to remain alive in Earthquake rule set. It is not often that there is flying cards for Fire Splinter. Growth for this card will be on the damage, speed and health. Backfire is gained at level 5 which is good especially when people try to snipe from the back.

At 2 mana, this card makes a good insert into lineup easily when there are awkward filling up and you need one additional fire power.

Assessment:

Amazing for Earthquake, but the attack is a little low until level 3. Other wise this is a decent card which integrates the high miss rate from flying into punishing opponent cards through Backfire. I personally will try to develop this card if it is not too expensive.

TORCH VIZIER

Discussion:
First impression, Deeplurker fire version. Fast speed, high attack with opportunity, isn't that how Deeplurker is? This is something that I will use very often, knowing how much I use its water splinter counterpart. As it reaches Level 4, it gains Reflection Shield. An amazing ability allowing it to sit either at last position or 2nd last to protect lineup from blast. Good growth to final form with 5 attack and much more health.

Assessment:

I want to get this card. I like what it can do. It is not squishy like Serpentine Spy, better sustainability and hits hard with opportunity. I am quite certain once I start developing this, he will always be appearing alot in my selection. 5 mana is also a good working mana.
