PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 4 Nov 2024

Greetings to all, Brawl had just ended one and a half day back, apologies for the delay, and I will be sharing all the matches that I was engaged in for this particular brawl. With the latest win calculation method for brawls, participation by guild members is the key now to boost the winning chance of brawls by 50%. By filling the frays, half the battle is done instead of giving away free wins to opponents without them even battling. So every match and member participation counts, which is why we need more people joining us and fill up those empty frays! And with fewer players playing brawl, it is going to be tougher moving forward to do get higher placing in brawls. We will need more fill up in brawl. In today's sharing, we will continue to dive into the rulesets and how I put up my cards to combat these new rulesets as well.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good for me because now that I play in modern for my daily battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this fray, I will get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I've been battling and trying to accumulate Glint so that I can more Rebellion Soul Bound cards into my collection which should come in handy for the matches. Let's start the battles!

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Going The Distance. This is a matchup that I like to use Tinderlock because this card when become the last card alive on my side will activate Last Stand which makes it such a pain to go against. And this card is really good because it has close range and you will not worry that you last stand and unable to hit anything. Remaining cards I also try to get as many close range as possible and also prepared a heavy hitting Countess Sinash and Ash Mirage for range attack debuff.
Outcome:	Win! I have all the elements for a strong match and my cards did not disappoint and brough home the first victory of this brawl.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Armoured Up, Maneuvers and Noxious Fumes. This is a tricky match because of the high mana, hence I wanted to ensure I was able to put up more damage through the various card with Gorth leading the frontline and a hidden Forgotten One and Tinderlock if able to survive long enough. Had a Scavo Chemist to remove the poison from Gorth as well, hopefully this lineup will work out.
Outcome:	Win! While my opponent filled a massive lineup, it was how my Forgotten One outlasted everyone and bash through whatever that was left on opponent lineup to gather the win.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Lost Magic. With no magic, I put up Commander Slade to suppress opponent attack and also Alfredo to continue adding pressure. Low mana hence couldn't put more card.
Outcome:	Win! Commander Slade is a beast, as it continues every melee that it face will just become disabled and not get to hit sufficient while it pulverize through opponent lineup. Glad for the win.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Earthquake, Opportunity and Back to Basic. This ruleset makes it hard because it will end up everyone being affected by Earthquake due to no flying ability. I just had to use something that can tide me for a while and maybe capture the win.
Outcome:	Lose. Unfortunately most of my cards are of lower health and were easy targets upon being exposed by the earthquake and subsequently being smash by my opponent with ease.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Going the distance and close range. This is a combination that is designed for Drybone Raider, this card with this ability will be given 4 attacks per turn and can take out any card on opponent side with ease. I added 2 more range attacker on my side and prepare to face my opponent.
Outcome:	Win! Easy one for us as I have the ace card but my opponent didn't. It was a breeze as Drybone Raider clear my opponent's card one by one and bring home the victory.

Brawl 6

	Remarks
Selection:	Only beefcake. With a decently high mana, I had to pull out my big guns and hope they do what they need to with Oshannus and Nerissa for big magic damage and Releanor on the melee and Swamp Spitter on the range.
Outcome:	Win! It was rather straightforward as the magic attackers did the attacks with Releanor netting one kill and we slowly gain momentum and secure the win.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 6 matches this brawl and managed to win 5 out of 6 of the matches (no fleeing opponent). There is also an additional 2 wins due to lack of participation from other guilds. It was a tough one on the ruleset with earthquake and back to basics. Nice play by my opponent.

The guild ended at position 4 which is 1 position better off than previous. With a lacking of active participants to fill the fray, things are really going to be tough as we will have difficulty clocking more win. As predicted we landed in the 4-6 range once again. It been a while but we've managed to increase our win count to 50 which is a nice achievement. However, to be part of the top 3 in brawls, we really need more people taking part and filling up the frays. We really need more frays to be filled else we will just be giving away free wins to others when our true capability is not seen and our opponent's playing skill might not be at our level but by just participating, they get the free wins. Let's continue to do our thing and get the best out of what we have, learn more about the new rulesets and get stronger. Go PIZZA 2!
