PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 3 Oct 2024

Greetings to all, Brawl had just ended for about 20 hours and I will be sharing all the matches that I've engaged in. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts and we need more people joining us and fill up those empty frays! And with fewer players playing brawl it is going to be tougher moving forward. We will need more fill up in brawl.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good because now that I play in modern, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this fray, I get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I am glad I've manage to be in modern fray again and with my progressive opening of reward chest, I am adding more Rebellion Soul Bound cards into my collection which should come in handy for the matches. 	Remarks
Selection:	Close Range and Neutral cards only. One of my most dreaded ruleset because my neutral cards still a little on the lean side and I do not have much choice, so with that, I just fielded a Marksrat to give my Drybone Raider some boost as it fronts the match.
Outcome:	Win! My faith in Drybone Raider paid off though it can be a little risky if somehow I cannot clear the cards fast enough and will likely to land myself in troube.

	Remarks
Selection:	What Doesn't Kill You, Born Again and Lost Legendaries. Unable to fully pull off my double martyr due to no legendary cards, instead I fielded Commander Slade for the first time in brawl to see how it perform amongst all the other crazy cards we see in brawls. I fielded a generally strong side and let's see how it turns out.
Outcome:	Win! Slade was a good choice and with the supporting cards giving armour and even repariing armour, it made the whole match up really nice and interesting. Slade will probably have more runs in brawls for the future.

	Remarks
Selection:	Fire and Regret, Unprotected and Odd Ones Out. A little tough to choose so as to be able to fill up the lineup. A little shaky as I realised I did not have a proper tank on odd mana. So I used a martyr and other fast hitting cards hoping to strike before being overturned.
Outcome:	Win! A close shave as I wasn't really hopeful especially without fielding a proper tank. But a win is a win.

	Remarks
Selection:	Lost Legendaries, Silenced Summoners and Big Hitters. For this I have to call upon 2 of my stronger epic cards Grund and Quora. And knowing how Quora thrives, adding some backline backup for healing and adding pressure will work.
Outcome:	Win! Good offense good support, a simple game to win. A debut for Harlaran Huntress whom did a really good job in adding pressure.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	No special ruleset but big mana. I just dump all my biggest mana cards into the match with 3 double attackers which are all boosted by Thane Newsong.
Outcome:	Loss. Opponent's Quora buffed up faster than mine and with a big blast by Gobson Bomber gave a chance for my opponent to clear off my own Quora which is a real pity. Good play by my opponent.

Brawl 6

	Remarks
Selection:	Ferocity and Big Hitters. Another big mana match, so everything big goes in. I placed many big hitting range attackers for death and hoped for the best as they do their work, slamming from afar.
Outcome:	Win! That artillery barrage was awesome as my lineup slowly eat up my opponent bit by bit to secure the win.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 6 matches this brawl and managed to win all 5 out of 6 of them (no fleeing opponent). There is also an additional 2 wins due to lack of participation from other guilds. For the loss, I will need to continue working on placement so that I will not lose out in Blood Lust growing.

The guild ended at position 6 which is one position lower than previous. With a lacking of active participants to fill the fray, things are really going to be tough as we will have difficulty clocking more win. As predicted we landed in the 4-6 range once again. To be part of the top 3, we really need more people taking part and filling up the frays. In terms of wins, we are a good 20 to 30 wins away from rank 3.Let's continue to do our thing and get the best out of what we have. Go PIZZA 2!
