PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 20 Dec 2024

Greetings to all, the latest Brawl that my guild took part in had just completed a few hours ago. Now, it is time to look at how my guild PIZZA 2 did for the brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the match went for me and the thoughts behind how I do up my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets. Let's continue to learn about the game and get better with each day of battling so that we can get better position for better rewards.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl that just went over.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Fire and Regret, Odd Ones Out and Fog of War. I planned for a Marksrat to suicide to give Grum Flameblade a boost so that it can lead the front line and start smashing things to grow stronger and stronger. Have also added Scavo Hireling to restore Grum Flameblade's armour as necessary.
Outcome:	Win! Opponent gave up and fielded a card that cannot even attack as it was a card that cannot attack when it is in the first position. A free win to start this brawl.

	Remarks
Selection:	Shades of Gray, Fury and Healed Out. Mana wise not a lot hence I decided to go with Uludin Overseer that will be trained by Moxian Rebel to gain magic attack alongside Scavo Hireling. I ended the lineup with a Uraeus to smack from the back for any problematic cards that opponent might place there.
Outcome:	Win! Opponent had a very good idea to use Tatiana Blayde which is a very strong card but have only one card to handle my barrage of cards is not a wise idea where my opponent fell quickly. Another win secured!

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Shades of Gray and Stampede. This becomes a little tricky especially I will not be able to capitalize anything for the stampede. So instead I used a mixture of trained cards for weapon training and used Ulundin Overseer to front the lineup with Drybone Raider smashing hard from 2nd position with Scavo Hireling for the repair and also Uraeus to sneak from the back.
Outcome:	Win! Another strong play from my opponent with loads of strong ideas on how to take me out. But somehow, I manage to come out on top with the various important portions that I setup for such as Scavo Hireling and also Clockwork Aide to gain additional speed.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Tis but Scratches, Broken Arrow and Briar Patch. When I saw that the ruleset is as above, I had to put in more armour and also some diversion so that I can do sufficiently more magic damage while stay protected. Instead of playing Quora, I used double protect through Jini Guise and also Queen Mycelia. Hopefully it will be enough for me to handle the ruleset.
Outcome:	Win! Jini Guise after smashing opponent Slipspawn started growing out of hand and become too difficult to handle as she just bulldoze through card after card.

	Remarks
Selection:	Back to Basics, Noxious Fumes, Might make Right. This is an interesting ruleset where we cannot do anything much but to hit as hard as possible early and hopefully opponent fall to poison faster than we do.
Outcome:	Draw. Wow, been a while since I saw such an outcome as both me and my opponent used exactly the same cards and it ended up as a draw.

Brawl 6

	Remarks
Selection:	Target Practice, Armoured Up and Briar Patch. Such a combination, it is easy to conclude by using all kinds of non melee attack be it range or magic. I planted a double martyr combo alongside 2 heavy duty water based range attacker to do their thing from the back.
Outcome:	Win! Double martyr work wonders as Oshannus become yet another pest to my opponent while the 2 big hitting range attacker just rampage and do big damage to my opponent cards. A nice victory!

Brawl 7

	Remarks
Selection:	Stampede and Shades of Gray. Didn't we had this earlier? So I used similar lineup and sufficient to handle the mana requirements, with definitely a Moxian Rebel in it to train cards.
Outcome:	Win! Another sweet victory where there is strong clearing of Arkemis and the rest were easy to take out. Loved the outcome as we march on to victory.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 7 matches this brawl and managed to win all 6 matches out of the 7 matches (including 0 fleeing opponent). Instead of a loss, I had a draw which was rare to come by where me and my opponent picked exactly the same cards.

While the guild came together and do a very strong fight, the lack of filling of frays becomes a proble. We do have very strong players where we have such a small losing rate. Hopefully we can get more people in and boost up our win count and allow us to finish better. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
We have a strong team of players whom can fight well and win strong. But we do lack players to fill frays. If you have a shiny collection and able to commit to the brawls 2 times per week, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild, gold frays tend to have more free wins and please consider joining us if you can be regular.
