Hive Savings Goal Status Update Dec 2024

Foreword
Good day to all. How are all of you doing, we are down to the last month of 2024. Have you met your hive goals that you've set when we started the year? I am thankful that I've met both my primary and secondary goals by early November. With that happening, I have instead further push myself to a newer goal before the year closes.

2024 Goal
Before I proceed further, let's recap the savings goal I set for myself when the year started.

I started the year with 5000HP and back then set a goal for myself to get 9000 HP by the year end with an additional stretch target to achieve 9000 HP by end of November. Both goals have been achieved as shared in November's update and now I am trying my best to achieve the 10k HP before the year end. I am thankful for all your support which you have always rendered me and allowing me at this point of time to achieve 9.9k HP with just a 100HP left to go to reach 10k HP. Time after again, the hive community is really a very nice place where there is so much support for everbody. And today I wanna stretch myself a little further to attempt to reach 10k HP by Christmas.

Performance to Plan

This is one important aspect of my savings. Managing this portion well will allow us to grow our savings stronger and stronger. Without an active monitoring of this, we will easily derail and fall short of the goal.

Blogging on Hive Blockchain
Key savings will come from this. Continue blogging consistently and always interact with others if you can. With consistency, you will definitely grow your HP over time as others encourage you with an upvote. Do remember to collect your rewards from time to time.

Layer 2 Token Management
It is an important piece of my saving to consistently review my sources of layer 2 tokens that increased my liquid Hive and SWAP.HIVE and started planning to get them into a better state for better passive drips.

Liquid Hive Sources:

Holding EDS tokens- Temporary paused (some issue that needs token owner to fix), till fixed, I will remove the income from this)
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.008 HIVE per day.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.033 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.038 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.325 HIVE per week a decrease of 0.01 HIVE per week as compared to last month, mainly driven by me removing the EDS earnings. For now it is still rather healthy and I am looking to increase more BRO tokens to gather more liquid hive. Otherwise, will also look into LGN for daily liquid hive passives.

SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Staking DRIP tokens - The amount I've stake yields me 0.00189 SWAP.HIVE per day.
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.0048 SWAP.HIVE per week.

This totals up to 0.01803 SWAP.HIVE per week. A very small increase but nevertheless having some passive from these token is also a good thing. Both tokens are growing day by in amount, one in the form of a daily drip while the other is gained through tipping others the coin

dCity.
Growing my city in dCity growth will allow me to continuously gain more SIM on a daily basis, adding on to my SIM power. By having more SIM power, there will be more daily liquid hive drip which continue to snowball while your city generates them. You can also continue to build your city and improve the daily SIM to further improve your liquid hive in the long run. Not forgetting, if you are top 400 in income, you get a young citizen NFT claim daily which also can be sold for more SIM. A light based game that allow you to learn about NFT trading, city growing and also generate some passive for you.

Rollercoin
This is something that I just let it build in the background by just playing for about 10minutes per day to let the miners to keep working and mine out LTC (I chose this) which at any point of time can be transferred in the boost my HP should I need to. However, I would prefer to work within hive to achieve my goal than to inject externally. Therefore this will only be activate when I truly fall short of the goal by a huge amount.

Closing
It had been a long journey coming this far but somehow the year swing us by so quickly. I enjoy saving and building up my assets in hive and I believe if we set our heart to work towards it, we will achieve it someday. While some goal might be tougher, stretching ourselves is important so that it build up our resilience. Hopefully I can meet my new goal of 10k HP by Christmas this year!
