Community Engagement Challenge: White Magic

Prelude
Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. The last one I did was on the topic of land which I myself didn't actually own one yet but have been reading deep into them to prepare myself for a possible owning of a plot for myself in the near future. Today's topic is a little easier as I have been actively battling and will have something to share with the community. Today's topic involves sharing of card combos and I have just the right combo to share.

My Favourite Combo
The combo that I would like to bring to you is what I called White Magic. Why is it called this? This is because it involves 3 magic attack cards as the core while the rest can be tinkered accordingly to suit the ruleset.

The core pieces:

Iziar

Spirit Hoarder

Meriput Magician

These trio are the key pieces of the combo as they are the sustaining pieces for the combo to work.

Remaining Elements to Complete The Lineup
While the combo creates the cycle of sustaining, there needs to be the other pieces in the lineup for completeness.

You will still need minimally a tank to hold the front and also some strong hitters while the combo help to contain the damage cycle especially when handling magic attackers.

Tanks: Imperial Knight, Drybone Barbarian
Hard Hitters: Marisol Contuma, Captain Katie

Alternatives
Some parts of the combo do have alternatives but not everything.
Meriput Magician can be replaced by Venari Crystalsmith while Spirit Hoarder can be replaced by another card that have Triage. But Iziar is irreplaceable.

The Combo
The White Magic combo involves a loop of 3 cards as mentioned above to achieve the following:

• Keeping the tank safe by taking away some of the damage from it by taunting it towards Iziar which is good with magic attackers with the void.
• Keeping the tank alive by healing by Meriput Magician
• Keep Iziar alive by using Triage from Spirit Hoarder

All the 3 cards are instrumental in this combo to create that healing and sustainability loop. This combo performs exceptionally well when handling a magic lineup as Iziar will suck in all the magic damage.

By achieving the 3 objectives, the damage is suck into a loop and able to sufficiently keep the front tank and the back "taunt" tank alive. Then the hard hitters can easily do their thing while being kept clear of danger.

The best way to showcase the combo is through a match to witness how they come together.

So in this match, we are having a magic matchup, where both sides used a full magic lineup due to the ruleset.

The lineup setup for me:
Instead of using a conventional tank, I used a makeshift tank of Pelacor Conjurer. To not let it be a sitting duck with no attack, I used Aves Sturgis to give Pelacor Conjurer the capability to attack. Then comes the big hitter Captain Katie whom will grow once she kills anyone. And following Captain Katie is the combo trio whom are supposed to do their thing to divert attack from Pelacor Conjurer to Iziar, heal Pelacor Conjurer and triage on Iziar to hold the line as long as possible for Captain Katie, Aves Sturgis and Pelacor Conjurer to damage my opponent.

Let's begin the battle proper.

Round 1, My whole lineup looked super intact with insignificant damage taken by the team and casualty only seen at my opponent side where Mycelic Slipspawn had been taken out.

Round 2, The barrage continues with some slight damages seen on my lineup with only one problem is that Iziar being given affliction which reduces the regeneration on her end. But key is that, her taunt still help keep the rest of the lineup alive and Pelacor Conjurer is still not injured at all, while Magi of Chaos falls on my opponent side.

Round 3, A little more exciting this round with more damage flying around and I do see Pelacor Conjuror falling. However, it is more painful only opponent end with Goblin Psychic and Regal Peryton both falling. The lineup still holding up strong.

Round 4, the match was fully over when we hit this stage when my opponent's Madcap Magus fell. A very comfortable win for me with the lineup holding up really strong will super minimal casualties when I am competing against an opponent whom is way stronger than I do.

It's so fun to be sharing combos with the community. And I am also looking forward to see other combo sharing from other players so as to learn and become better in my gameplay. I think so far this is the most interesting topic for community engagement thus far. Hoping to see more of your post as we continue battling it out on the battlefield.
