Adapting to Modern: Prepare to Get More Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards Part 14

Prelude
Welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. It has been evident that the Soul Bound reward cards are taking the rank battles and brawls by storm. I have met many strong opponents in the course of my battles whom have used these cards to perfection and I can only see how I ended up being run over by them using these cards. And hence this is why I started looking deeper into these cards so that both myself and the community can learn more about these cards.

The new Rebellion Soul Bound reward cards so far as they have been featured often in my gameplay be it in daily battles or brawls and I am certain as I continue to obtain more copies of them and having them levelled up, they will showcase even more prowess on the battlefield. For now, I will build up on the common and rare cards as suggested by fellow readers of my post

Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards

We are about 4 days away from another season to end before gathering all the extra glint earned for post season. And these glint will help us fulfil and gather more of the Soul Bound reward cards. I would say my glint gathering is a little slow due to the amount of SPS I have. But nevertheless I am battling and growing whatever I have to improve my glint gathering.

Today we will continue looking through another 2 new soul bound rewards card from Life Splinter of which one is a rare and another is a legendary.

Skyspire Leopard

First card that we will look at today is the Skyspire Leopard. I do own this card at level 2 right now. I think this card will only make sense and be considered when it actually go into level 2, otherwise it will be hard for me to even justify fielding it. At level 2 this card gains retaliation which will be good for it as a front tank against other as this card fights back. In terms of damage scaling, it is quite good as it goes all the way to 5 melee attack and even gain Void Armour, further reinforcing its capability to also block away some magic damage. However, I would say there might be other cards that might be able to replace this in the same range. It is also a little awkward as it is 5 mana. Would have been a great add for little league if it was 4 mana. A decent card but do not expect too much out of it.

Olivia of The Brook

Next card to look at will be an epic life splinter card, Olivia of The Brook. Ok this card will be interesting. For me, this is like a Quora mini and maybe stronger in a certain manner because it has the chance to do mimic which gains an ability from the opponent team, while we cannot control what it can mimic because it is due to what the enemy play. However, if it is able to steal something crazy such as Blood Lust, this becomes a total madness. But do note, all these can only happen at level 2 of this card. So my take is, if you can afford, whack a good amount of glint to get more copies of this card and get it to level 2 because to me this card is game changing and get mimic out. Though even at level 1, this card is great at taking out cards as well because both its attack are opportunity. Small cards will be easily fried by it. An awesome card for sure.

Assessment
My take and assessment will be that while Skyspire Leopard is relatively an average card which can be easily replaced by others of greater value, Olivia of The Brook is phenomenal. While it does have an element of randomness, but generally abilities are being put to give benefit so unlikely we will copy some bad ability. So this is like a must have for any deck. Hopefully, I have some luck and get some copies of it and get it to level 2 at least to test out the mimic ability.

In terms of rating, Skyspire Leopard should get around 2.5/5 while Olivia of The Brook, with how much potential it has, I would give it a 4.5 at this moment which I will review again if it is doing really well and up its rating.

Wrap Up
As I do up the review of various cards, they are all nice and useful cards out of the pool of Soul Bound reward cards which can really boost our gameplay well. So let's continue to battle, clock more Glint, then start putting the cards into greater utility be it in ranked or even during brawl. I will continue to research and look at the others card and will share another 2 cards in the next post.
