Adapting to Modern: Prepare to Get More Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards Part 13

image.png

Prelude
Welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. Recently on the battlefield I do see much more Rebellion Soul Bound reward cards in play and many of them have used it really well. I was monitoring how much Glint I can get from each battle that I won and it came in the range of 200+ and for this figure, I will need 5 wins for a major chest pull, 1 win for a minor chest pull, 1 win for common draw and 4 wins for a rare pull. For ultimate chest and other rarity, will need definitely more wins to be able to pull.

The new Rebellion Soul Bound reward cards so far as they have been featured often in my gameplay be it in daily battles or brawls and I am certain as I continue to obtain more copies of them and having them levelled up, they will showcase even more prowess on the battlefield. For now, I will build up on the common and rare cards as suggested by fellow readers of my post

Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards

In the last end of season I manage to pull a Gallicus for major chest and 2 very strong epics from Epic pull of which one is a gold foil, which I am really glad.

Let's continue from last week where we reviewed 1 epic card and 1 legendary card for the earth splinter. Now we move on to one common and one rare Life Splinter card

Lucheheim Demon

image.png

First card that we will look at today is the Lucheheim Demon. I do own this card and I know this card will truly shine when it cross into level 3 because it gains the cleanse ability, which I think is really something important and lacking for Life Splinter in modern. My own copy is only at level 2 now so I do hope I will be able to quickly obtain more copies to level it up. While the cleanse is important, a 7 mana card for cleanse could prove to be a little costly. Stat and growth looks rather good and at final level gains a triage which will be a good addition to it. In terms of attack, it will always be at 3. Honestly speaking, a key utility card. But if no poison, I would substitute it with maybe Djinn Renova which gives a lineup boost in health instead.

Janni Rebel

Next card to look at will be a rare life splinter Janni Rebel. This card is costly in terms of mana. It is kinda weird that this card comes with the Flank ability. For me, 7 health is not exactly tank capable and can be easily disposed in the first turn, unless you have ways to keep her alive, otherwise the flank ability just breaks off after the turn Janni Rebel falls. While it also gives Inspire, I found many instances that I have difficulty pulling her off and doing good work in the match. For me the Inspire works better than her Flanking. But if you have a filler purpose for her to use up the excess mana, you can probably treat her like a boosted Magi of Chaos with Inspire. Otherwise, my take would be it is usable but not worthy to spend that high mana to insist she stays in the lineup.

Assessment
My take and assessment will be that both of today's cards are not out of this world with Lucheheim Demon giving slightly more value because of the utility ability on it. Janni Rebel which looking big and all, might only look way stronger when fully upgraded to have more health, otherwise she will fall a little fast and whatever we want to use flank for protection on will just be exposed really soon. Surprisingly life cards are a little shy as compared to the other splinters that I have reviewed. However, this is only my assessment and I am not good with life splinter so my assessment might not be accurate. If you have a different perspective do share with me.

In terms of rating, Lucheheim Demon should get around 3/5 while Janni Rebel, I would give it a maximum of 2.8/5.

Wrap Up
As I do up the review of various cards, they are all nice and useful cards out of the pool of Soul Bound reward cards which can really boost our gameplay well. So let's continue to battle, clock more Glint, then start putting the cards into greater utility be it in ranked or even during brawl. I will continue to research and look at the others card and will share another 2 cards in the next post.

Let's continue to grow and find path in modern as we journey on playing Splinterlands.

The demon works nice in Reverse Speed - but yeah, there are better monsters. The flank for the rebell is okay when used with the Grandmaster, since it gets a little extra protection. Or as well with Max Pruitt, having a high damage high armor monster behind the rebell. But I usually place her in the rear as well, it's not the best tank.

I don't have that big a collection of cards. But I somehow felt, many a times, I would pick something else instead of Rebell
