The Mood Selection | Secular Or Gospel

Oh when it come to picking between secular or gospel music, I'm always in between because it totally depend on my mood at a particular time, I might feel like dancing or sing praises and I will tune into some gospel music especially my favorite both lyrically or instrumental wise and at some point, I might feel like vibing and just turn on secular music especially the old legend songs. Back in the days, we were made to believe that listening to worldly songs (Secular) will make us sing and straight to hell, it was kind of scary as a kid but no matter how I try to run from secular music, it is always everywhere, they even made lyrics books for this songs that my peeps use to bring to school just to learn and sing these songs off head and as times goes on, I started listen to them. Secular songs back then wasn't as shitty as the ones we have now, those ones back then still pass messages across even though there are few bad ones, when it come secular, I get to like Olamide songs, Daagrin, Africa china, brymo and the rest.

Nowadays, good musics are gradually going into extinction, everyone want to be an artist, everyone want to sing and this don't make them vet the lyrics of the songs they are now singing, at some point, we don't enjoy the lyrics because it is full of nonsense, we only enjoy the beats, everyone want to sing for the money and not the passion, so they keep dropping trash with the hope that they will blow one day, I don't blame them though, I only blame those that listen to such song which even boost this artist to drop more shitty tracks. Gospel music on the other hand still take it stand and purpose which is to spread messages related to christianity and God's kingdom, the lyrics are heavenly if I can use that word, some when sang will give you this deep soul lifting mood but on the other part, I think gospel artists are somehow or unknowingly leaving their path and following secular ways, there was a time when an argument came up about gospel artist always following secular music trends

It was really a big debate because they now introduce and change worldly songs or dance steps to christian songs, if a secular songs or dance trend this week, some gospel artist will introduce it to their songs or concert the following week even through instrument or backup singers, people started questioning if such action is right or wrong, someone even said why will gospel artist copied and introduce secular things and not the other way round which is kind of true, some said maybe they want their concerts or songs to be more lively since people prefer worldly things nowadays which is totally wrong, there are lot of pure gospel songs that people love, so that wasn't a good point to me, till now, there is still no good decision on the matter because they left it pending but to be, be it gospel or secular, I'm always in between because it depend on my mood.
