The Magic Wand Out | One Of My Strategic Pull Out
image from splinterland
Going through the splinterlands account everyday is one thing I love doing because there are lot of information flying around which you won't want to miss out from as a splinterlands player especially when you rarely go over to the discord section to read the daily chat or other informations. Currently there is an announcement about the splinterlands twitter contest where you can join to get a chance to win 2 chaos packs if selected among the winner and it is really easy to do. There are simple tasks attached to it which you can find here, tasks based on twitter like, retweets and follow, also soundcloud based tasks among others.
It is time for the weekly battle mage challenges and the theme chosen this time around is the Wand out rule set, this is the first time actually seeing this rule set been picked and based on the description only magic based monster cards are allowed in this kind of battle, which really make it interesting since I really love using magic cards, there are lot of things to actually consider when you come across this kind of ruleset, normally magic monster cards attack the health directly but in some cases where your opponent decided to use void armour based cards or summoner and also add more armour to their monster cards, this magic will have to destroy the armour first before touching the health. Setting up a strategy for this kind of rule set, you have to consider some buff and debuff abilities which can put you at advantage and also your opponent as disadvantage
Abilities To Consider Using
Magic Reflect - This is one important ability to consider in this kind of rule set, whenever an enemy magic hit you, you will deal damage back to the attack, this always come in handy especially when you decided to buff the damage with amplify ability
Void - This is also important in building your ruleset in this kind of battle since void ability help you reduce the damage you receive from any magic cards, so majorly any 1 attack from magic card is useless, so it is good to always use more silence ability if you have them to reduce the magic attack.
Phase - this also help a lot because it will help you evade attack from any magic cards.
So most times I aways make use I use 2-3 of this abilities in my battle to make thing really work out. Check out his battle I had with Invictex6 in a 50 mana capped with 3 rule set, Earthquake which deal 2 damage to non-flying card each round, are you not entertained which allow extra gladiator in the battle and lastly is the wand out which allow only magic cards, we could pick from any element except earth and dragon

I had to go with the death element since earth isn't available and I had to picked Prismatic energy as my frontline with the magic reflect and void ability, next is Djinn Muirat with the void armour, magic reflect among others, Phantom Soldier with the flying, silence and void ability. I also decided to use Boogeyman with the slow and rust, venari bonesmith with the leech and poison and lastly is Magi Necrosi with the snipe, camouflage and oppress abilities. To me this is one my best strategy for the wand out rule set
This really play out well even when my opponent decided to use iziar and void amour summoner, but it was as if I came prepared because the silence ability really reduce most of this magic attack to 1 which render them useless and they couldn't even defeat prismatic with such attack but the earthquake rule set really have much effect on my cards since I only use a card with flying ability but with everything I was able to death him flawlessly and won the battle.
