The Heavy Metal Duty | Usut To The Rescue

It is splinterverse O'clock, right now things are really happening especially with this ongoing Auction for this particular Death-Earth rebellion promo cards, with the 100 cards limit, throwing in the auction option was really the best bet for the card, just looking at it and viewing the 2 new added abilities, you will know that particular card is really a juicy one and right now it is topping the OP list, everyone want it, everyone dream of having it but the limit is actually the barrier since it can't be own by everyone. Right now the auction competition is actually a tough one and I'm yet to see someone snatch it with less then 1m dec, I have actually watch a couple of cards where players made use of the card Heloise the hollow card, it is actually interesting to watch and very hard to defeat since it will keep on self-resurrect, once you sight that card in a high mana based battle, just know that is the end, your chance of winning is very slim, no one can really defeat it unless if not use well, maybe if use in low mana battle where all 6 position weren't filled or just 2-3 cards used, once all non-weary unit receive the weary ability, heloise can be destroyed completely.

Right now, the Heavy Metal ruleset troubles me a lot, since we can only make use of cards with armor in battle and as a magic card fans, it is very rare to see a magic unit with armor attached to it and the one I have aren't that maxed ( hoping to do that with time), so I have to check out other options but rarely win. I came across the same ruleset today and I had to patiently pick my selection by making sure I have enough debuff abilities available, we 3 ruleset which really made the battle long, firstly was the Equalizer that make all unit health equal with the highest health card, we have the Heavy metal for only cards with armor and lastly was Healed Out, we cant make use of any healing cards and no tank or triage ability. What somehow make it interesting was the 52mana capped which was really enough for us to pick our top cards since we have most element available except water and dragon. Somehow, I was thinking of using Fire element since I have some good range cards with enough armor and they also have close range ability but what if it didn't work out and my opponent decided to counter it, thought of Earth element but it is full of cards without armor so it is somehow weak. So I was left with Death element as my only option.

Since it want the debuff option, I picked Thaddius Brood as my summoner just to reduce any magic attack and -1 health which really work out, since I need good armour, I decided to pick void armour cards to make it stronger, I picked Legionnaire Alvar with extra demoralize to reduce melee attack and also Giant killer with the hope that he will come in with high mana cards, support it with Djinn Muirat also with magic reflect, giant killer, and void armor, picked Usut, then Helhiem Demon as my taunt cards just to hold the first few attacks, went back in with melee card by picking Broken earth thug with both opportunity and cripple ability and lastly was Uraeus with the sneak and poison ability. Someone using more cripple cards in battle can make it more interesting since you will have some advantage but cripple cards aren't that much. Submitted the battle and boom got som surprised from my opponent.

It was as if he was reading my mind, came in with fire and the position was amazing, placed a flank card first so as to give his Grum flameblade the reach ability and allow it to attack but my Giant killer cards are sleeping, ready to do double damage, he came in with good range cards and a stunner, one magic and placed a retaliate card as a backline was not good enough since I can poison it with Uraeus. First Round went well, I was able to poison his backline even though it kept on retaliating and his Grum missed since the speed is really low. His flank card got destroyed and Grum came in but my Giant killer mood got activated, that destroyed his Grum easily. After suffering some defeat, Usut came to the rescue with the flying ability, his Lava kept on missing usut and I had to quickly defeat his Gergoya devil, that gave me upper hand in the battle and I was able to win, if not for the flying ability turning up for me through Usut, the case will be different.
