Childhood Friendship | It Cant Be Forever

Memories created during childhood are one of the best things that always happened to every individuals, as a child, we tend not to forget whatever we do or those we grow up with and they are always one of the life sustaining gees or besties. My childhood was really complicated though, I'm a kind of guy (child) that rarely mingle or talk with people especially girls, I love been on my own and I actually detect this in primary 3 and I only have just 1 male friend who was my bestie then he was the sociable one and I was the silence one, our house is very far from each other but we do meet in school everyday and do sit together, I literally follow him around.

Since he is the one that do mingle with everyone, I use that influence to also play with his friend if he is around and if he isnt, I stay on my lane just minding my business or reading, every break time, we do play some games like I call on, police and thief, Ice and water, those were our funny moment. I cant forget the day we got punished playing the police and thief game, we were really enjoying the game running up and down the school, trying to hid from the police without releasing the break time was over, that was how we got caught by one of the teachers who asked us to kneel down before flogging us,

Just like this adage that said 20 children cant play for 20years, It wasnt a happy day for me when I gain admission into JSS 1 class from primary 4, My dad made me write the common entrance examination into secondary school back then then, if you were able to pass, you will be in secondary school which I did and had to leave my bestie since he will be reading primary 5 but I do visit him once in a while if I have the chance then all of a sudden, my dad got transferred into another town and we had to leave, we were so young then and telephone wasn't really common so we couldn't communicate with each other and literally lost contact.

Like they use to say, distance and lack of communication create gap between people, losing contact cause us a lot, but once in a while I do check out his profile on facebook back then and after many years, I saw him in the university and was really happy to talk to him but all seem like he has outgrown the friendship because I could sense it, we didn't talk long and the funny part was that we didn't exchange contact and that was it. Just if I could change the hands of time though, it might been a different story entirely.
