META 2022 - My very first pageant which changed my life - Series 2

This journey has been all about learning and exploring new things every day in order to demonstrate who I am and what I want to be. Every day, we all learn something new, and when we fail, we analyse why we failed and how we can succeed in the future.I was terrified when I first joined this contest. First and foremost, my parents have no idea about this; second, as an introvert, meeting new people and beginning to communicate with them was the most difficult challenge.

But as the days passed, I continued to learn new things, and when the competition day arrived, I was excited, a little scared, and most importantly, happy.I used to practice my walk early in the morning at 5 am and then rush towards the contest.

Fun Fact was my evening gown had not yet been chosen. I put it on a couple of hours before the final round. It was a lovely gown, red velvet with gold detailing. It was a beautiful gown, but it was really long. I was worried and I literally had no idea how can I walk in such a long.

And when the moment arrived, I still believe it was a dream rather than a reality. I didn't walk well, but I did my best. It wasn't as smooth as supermodels' walks, but I obviously had a great walk.

When I first stepped onto the runway, I took a look around; there were a lot of lights, people looking at me, cameras, live streaming, and media. I thought I was going to have a heart attack 😅

Later, I had my introduction round, and I nailed it. I talked about my dreams, my fat-to-fit transformation, my experience as a bully, and how people made fun of me because I was overweight.

The following round was a couple walk, and my partner was a guy who had previously won two pageants. During our rehearsals, he taught me how to walk, how to respond during the question and answer round, and most importantly, to remain calm. To be honest, this guy was really funny 😂 His name is SKANDA.

I really liked his energy, which was friendly with everyone and allowed him to mingle with all.

The final round, the QNA round, has arrived. When it was my turn to walk, I stepped on my gown and said, oops, sorry 😂😂

So I had to respond to this question.
"What advice you would give to your younger self?"

When she asked me this question, I just went back in time. I hid my traumatic past because I didn't want to remember it anymore. When I heard this question, I took a deep breath because I knew I'd burst into tears if I didn't take a deep breath.

I answerd, "" I just lost hope in the world, that world would be better enough to treat, to treat how would they accept you. But now I would suggest my younger self, don't loose hope, you can come here and show to the people what you have achieved. Thank you ""

When you read it, you might wonder what kind of response this is, but saying these many words with tears and emotions welling up in your eyes wasn't easy.

And I got to know from Skanda that, I did well in all my rounds but during my QNA round judges felt that I was kind of under confident.

After coming back to my home I was thinking I should have answered better 😅😅😅

Well, during the announcement of the results, I was almost certain that I would not win, and the winner was only one. There was no first or second runner-up.

I was overjoyed to hear that the winner was a friend of mine. Yes!! In this contest, I had two lovely ladies as my friends, and the winner was PEARL 😘 ( right one with a pinkish gown)

Well, I had a great time, I learned a lot, and next time I'll do better by remembering all of my mistakes ❤
