They learned the hard way

It was a day to forget for two friends who suddenly turned enemies overnight because of love of money and lack of common sense.

It was December 20th and people were getting ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Many were getting ready to travel and celebrate the season with their loved ones, thousands of people from this side of the world always look forward to this particular period of the year because business men and women, transporters make a lot of money from people who rush to buy things they need and move to different parts of the country.

Mrs Grace who sales used clothes by the road side also came out in the morning to sell clothes so she could raise money to buy what her family needs for the season, her friend Mrs Beauty also came to buy clothes for herself and immediately began to select clothes from the heap of the used clothes spread on the mat by Mrs Grace.

After selecting some of the clothes from the mat Mrs Beauty asked Mrs Grace the prices and while they were bargaining, Mrs Beauty noticed a lump of paper inside the pocket of one of the clothes, she removed the paper and opened it, and behold, she saw a foreign currency inside it , on seeing the money, she alerted Mrs Grace who then told her that the cloth that contains the money wasn't for sale anymore. Mrs Beauty refused to drop the cloth and also claimed that they have both agreed on the price of the clothes she had selected.

People came to settle them but the two women refused to listen to them, soon
they started fighting, during the argument and fighting, the two women lost their phones, jewelries, purses and other items.

Some men that saw what happened called the Police and after some minutes, the Police truck arrived and separated the fight and asked the crowd around to go back to their businesses the Police men suggested that the women should go and change the money to our currency so they can share it equal among themselves.

Before they started fighting, someone from the crowd had confused them by saying that the currency inside the clothes can buy a car when they convert it to our local currency, that was what caused them to start fighting.

But when the money changer came, he explained that the money in question was 200 South Korean Won and it's equivalent to 60 Naira when changed in our currency (not even up to 10 Cent)

It was really a very shameful thing for the two women who had lost many valuable items during the fight, not knowing that the money they were fighting each other for was almost next to nothing.

People laughed at them for allowing their selfishness get the better of them.

LESSON: Be smart and careful, do not allow greed to rob you off your valuable possessions, try very hard and be contented with the little you have.
