Pork Nilaga And I Sent Him Fresh Fish
December first @asean.hive we made it this far. I'm so happy that I found this community that supported me throughout the year. Last night I thought I wasn't able to get to sleep because of what my husband did. You know that men are easily distracted when it comes to gambling. I saw my husband hurting his self, he said his stupid! In my mind I know he is sometimes, but he'll never learn his lesson until he faces his biggest consequence. At least before he spent his money with unuseful things he already bought us what we basically needed.
Before he went home he asked our son to get him fresh fish. I already cleaned it and gave it to his cousin so they'll have something to eat in Manilla. The expenses in the city is more heavier compare to the life in the province. You can catch fish or plant some veggies to have something free to eat.
While I prefer a delicious meal for my kids.
The dish that I'm going to cooked is called "Nilaga" the process is boiling all the ingredients together. That simple, but of course we need to make it special.
Ingredients
Pork or Beef (any part)
Sweet camote or potatoes
Corn optional
Bananas
Petchay
Cabbage
Pork cubes
Fish sauce
Water
Pepper corn
Seasoning
Onion
Procedure
Cut and wash all the ingredients. In a pot add the onion, peppercorn, camote and corn. It's hard as the meat so it's better to boil it first. Hubby bought a pressure cooker while it's sale. It's a big help to immediately soften the meat. After it boils I set the timer for 15 minutes. Then I release the pressure. Add the remaining ingredients such as fish sauce, seasoning, broth cubes and the remaining vegetables. Taste and adjust according to taste
And here's the finished product
Because the flood is already at low level. We decided to bring down the television. We just hope that our house will totally dried up. After the kids watch you tube it's now my turn to watch on Netflix. I love this Berlin Movie it's all about thief's that are genius and don't kill anyone.
Thank you for reading
