Finally Touchdown on The Road

Happy new week @cycling community. Woohoo I'm so excited to tell you that finally my son's bike is already back on the road. Looks like the white and the black clouds has come to meet each other.

Let me start by changing my son's bike frame. It was the color blue before. I asked why he removed the color, I thought he would repaint it. But he said he just wanted it to be gray. Then I remembered he showed me a video of a bike that he wanted to copy. At first I couldn't appreciate the result, but after he decided to finally bring it to the bike shop, I was happy and nervous to see it.

But before bringing it to the bike shop, let's do a short recap; In my previous posts my son is started to buy bike parts from his own money. And because a little more stuff and it will finally be built, his father gave him $20. He was so happy that it remember to help him lol. He bought a strong class interior for his two old wheels. And rios, the change, will be his allowance.

In the photo you will see that my son is polishing his frame he wants it to be shiny and shimmery. Last Monday he finally decided to bring it to the bike shop. I asked him if his stuff are already complete. He just said that one wheel is missing, he will get his old wheel to his uncle and asked is if still gonna work.

I wasn't able to take pictures while my son gather all his stuff and put it on our boat. I want to show the highlights. He message me once he reached the bike shop, he said that taking pictures is not allowed. So he snap secretly. It took a lot time, he went home holding his old dirty rubber wheel. His cleaning it, I asked him do you think it's still gonna work? I don't know mom then he went back to the bike shop. He said that the owner pity him so it lend it a second hand rubber wheel. The owner took a picture of him and said I also started from nothing and I can see how you really wanted to built your bike, your also a regular customer and I trusted you.

And here is my son and his bike. A dream come true for him and I was so happy after the owner of the bike shop told that to him. I said that I will help him pay the second hand wheel. It's all worth it because his a good son. And he hasn't stop, he wants to race, but he knows that his bike pars won't stand a chance in the competition. Some of those are cheap price so expect the quality won't last long. But I know my son his careful with his bike. He paddled, he felt that all his hardwork was paid off. He told he was so happy. The people are smiling at him because his back on the road.. there are worries for a mom like me, but it's his dream.
