Road trip

Ok for some reasons it has always been my happy moments to travel from places to places and yea ,it have been a very nice and sweet adventure all this while.

Am going down memory lane to some months back when i decided to embark on a road trip that was supposed to last for some hours but it ended up lasting for almost 24hrs ,

The journey was indeed like an adventure though.
We were all supposed to go for a conference too..
Bus was available,
Everything was made ready and
that feeling of visiting new and exciting places were you have never been too before,

It happened that the journey started out at about 6.am in the morning and when i woke up that day i wasnt planning to be delayed on getting to the bus,

We were supposed to be about 20persons for the journey,but on getting there it was just 4people that were available,
We all had to wait for the rest 16 people to come around ,and after 3hrs we were still having just 15people ..
The driver had to start the bus because we couldnt just waste more hours waiting for 5people , but it seems like when he was about living the 5 of then showed up immediately..

Well for some reason we were all angry and especially those of us that came soo early and at the long run we just have to calm ourselves for the trip to continue.

So before we started the journey the driver pleaded with us to be patient so he could check his tires ,and while he did that most of us were already grumbling like real loud ,
But after checking it he noticed one of the tires seems to be flat but it was very manageable according to him it can get us to our destination but it will be better to change it, and so thats how he decided to try changing it .
That was were the second chaos started ,the grumbling, the shouts, the whole "why must it be now after how many hours "..
Like every one was complaining he was supposed to do that all this while we were waiting for others , i was among the top screamers because i actually came very early and was soo eager to leave.

Our minds were just clouded with being late in getting to our destination,
Tired,
Stressed from sitting and waiting,
Feeling hungry and being all impatient..
We just dont even want to know the dangers involved with going along with such condition especially something that has to do with a vehicles tire,

Well the journey was supposed to last for 5hrs ,and so after all the shouts and complaints the driver had no choice than to start the journey and he actually warned us we might not get to our destination on-time incase the tire will have to be changed eventually along the way..
After waiting for 4hrs,we started our journey that was meant to be by 6am at around 10am .
And it was all smooth and fun till after 3hrs ,
Some how the bus developed an over heating issues and it was said that the engine was having issues,
We have to wait for that one to be settled ,
Then later like 3hrs it was fixed and we continued our journey..
Not less than 1hour the bad tire had his own issues and it got flat ..we were on a lonely road and the driver couldnt just stop around there because of fear of bandits or other things around,
So he managed to still drive slow for about extra 1hr ..
Even someone on foot was way much faster than the car,some of us decided to drop and go on foot just to reduce the weight in the car and we were even faster than the car self..

When we got to were people were around it was almost like 4hrs later ,
And some of us that were tired of trekking had to enter the car back ,
And it took the driver upto 2hrs to successfully change the flat tire , because his jack was faulty and it wasnt easy getting the car up ..
At this stage lots of us were already drained and extremely tired .
Just about when we finished, some men approached us and they were asking for cash ,saying we were not supposed to pack there.

It caused another argument and shouts ,
Like everyone was just yelling without being calm to explain anything,and even the supposed men , about 5 of them were not willing to listen,.
The driver had to start fight with one of the guys and when they saw we were being too sturbon to yield,3 of the guys silently sneaked while the other 2were just shouting..
Then we all got in the bus and told the driver to hit anybody that decides to block the way .

Then we have already spent 2hrs and this was around about 11pm in the night, with shouts and arguments,.
We had to just drive off and those guys were hitting the car as we live..
Just 2hrs later we arrived at our destination and the place was already filled it with people.
Since it was a camping conference we all had to look for were to sleep , how to sort ourselves and all ..
But at the end we still have to be grateful for a safe trip too .

Well they were lots of other things i couldn't say here but am sure with time i might write another,
The thing is sometimes life doesn't always go the way we planned we all just need to be careful in doing what we have to do without being in a hast most times because you might still end up not getting there ontime at last.
