Be Kind, Do good!

Hello Everyone!

We live in a frontline area, and kind people periodically bring humanitarian aid, bread, to our region. There are many residents here who are in need and grateful for such assistance.

It has become a kind of tradition, where representatives of each family can gather together in the center of the village. I can't remember any other events that bring people together like this.

Today, everything was going as usual. At first, everyone chatted amongst themselves, forming groups based on common interests while waiting for the car with bread. Then, they organized themselves into a queue, kindly letting women and elderly people go first.

This event happens regularly here, and I'm not sure why I decided to bring my camera this time.

We chatted a bit more with our fellow villagers when we noticed that the guys distributing the bread had gotten stuck in the mud and couldn't get out. There was no time for hesitation. We pushed and pulled with all our might, everyone who stayed behind to help.

Our neighbor offered to help with his minibus, and I had a tow rope that came in handy. With the help of the horsepower of the minibus, we managed to successfully pull the guys out of the mud. In other villages, people were also waiting for them, grateful for the bread.

I didn't attach much importance to this situation. It was just one of the many daily challenges we face without paying much attention to it. If salt runs out, go to the store. If someone is in trouble, help them as best you can. It's all simple! Just a common everyday situation.

I completely disregarded this situation. It was one of those everyday life situations that we deal with without paying much attention to it. If the salt runs out, go to the store; if someone is in trouble, help them if you can - it's simple! Just a domestic case.

But how nice it was to receive help myself when, returning home with this bread, my car suddenly refused to move. The weather was windy and cold, and there was no desire to deal with the breakdown on the spot. It was about 2 kilometers to home. My loved one was with me, who had already started to freeze while we were pushing the minibus with bread, and now this...

The first passing car stopped. It was a relatively new SUV with a special number. A young man got out and asked if we needed help...
The tow rope was already close by.
We quickly hooked up and he helped us tow the car to the garage.
At home, looking under the hood, I finally found the cause of the malfunction.

My car can use both gas and gasoline as fuel. Gasoline is easier to start in cold weather, while gas is cheaper for drive.
So, due to the relatively short trip, the coolant did not have time to reach the working temperature, and my gas reducer froze. Liquid gas began to flow into the carburetor, cooling this unit. And with an iced carburetor, the car refused to start even on gasoline.

The air temperature was above zero degrees Celsius, so sooner or later the carburetor with the reducer would thaw out, and we would be able to get home. But only if the battery had not been discharged earlier in an attempt to start the car in the cold.

We thanked the person who helped us by inviting him for a cup of hot coffee. Now we have met another good person.

If you see someone in need and have the opportunity, it is definitely worth offering your help. Maybe everything is fine with them, and they are able to cope with the difficulties on their life path, or maybe they have already given up asking for help, having encountered numerous rejections before.

Stay human in any situation! Be kinder whenever possible!!!

I wish you all a peaceful sky above your head and stable soil under your feet! Take care of yourself and your loved ones so that you can meet again in the hive!

This reminds me of the time the company driver was taking us to work when the vehicle stalled. There we were sitting under a bridge with no one in sight when a car pulls up.

Inside was a well-dressed man who got out and helped us (I've never owned a car and knew little about them). He found the problem and fixed the issue. While I don't know cars, I did have some cash on me and offered him $20 for his troubles. Heg waved away my offers of payment, and went on his way.

The next day I saw his picture in the paper. Turns out he was a youth Pastor for a local church. I'll still remember him saying as he left, that he was only doing what Jesus would do. what a kind man, so we sent donations to his church instead.

I'm glad you're surrounded by good people willing to help each other in times of need. :)

Great story and good example! Might be worth posting.)
It's great that you found the opportunity to thank your assistant.
Very often, doing good is even more pleasant than receiving.
Thank you for this story!
