STUNLOCK AND IMMUNITY - SPLINTERLANDS

Splinterlands matches with Noxious Fumes rule encourages the use of cards that have some specific abilities to survive more than opponents, these abilities are:
Heal to keep health full as long as possible.
Cleanse to remove the debuff from your first card.
Immunity that prevents all negative effects.
Among these options, the strongest one is for sure Immunity as it will guarantee that your card cannot be affected in any way by Poison (or other negative effects), however this does not mean that having several cards with this ability will guarantee you victory after all the opponent can assemble a team with high damage capable of eliminating your cards before the damage in the end of round. Note this example:
The opponent has chosen two cards that do not suffer negative effects and one with the ability to heal for this confrontation. I chose to choose Uriel the Purifier and put Silvershield Bard in the last position to increase the chances of him being able to activate his Cleanse on my Tank. Both choices are equally effective but it is important to consider that my card is capable of healing 3 life per round and causing 6 damage (it would be 9 if the opponent had not chosen Zintar Mortalis), so if in some time the opponent was not able to cause more than 4 damage per round the victory would be mine.
While the Haunted Spirit was alive, the opponent really managed to overcome this damage, but Uriel's armor lasted long enough, allowing him to eliminate the card with the most damage from the opponent, leaving only two cards that together only managed to cause 3 damage per round (when healing the damage would be nullify).
At that moment, victory seemed guaranteed, but that's when the Immunity ability would be extremely important. Even being able to nullify all the damage suffered, the opponent had the Revealer card that has the Stun ability. This ability has a 50% chance of activation and when applied it manages to prevent my card from healing and attacking (if it wasn't in Recharge ). Each round where Stun was successfully applied Uriel the Purifier failed to heal and throughout the rounds it was shortening his life.
The biggest problem is that because it is a probability nothing prevents the Stun from being applied one, two, three and who knows even four times in a row. The big luck was enough to apply the true Stunlock and prevent Uriel from healing or performing any attacks. This immense luck ensured an incredible victory for my opponent!
You won't always be able to win because there are several factors that influence the outcome of a match. But analyzing this case after watching the battle it is easy to identify which would be the perfect choice to change this result. Instead of choosing Uriel the Purifier (11 mana) and Silvershield Bard (1 mana) just opt for Kralus at level 2!
Although its cost (purchase or rent) is considerably higher than Uriel, Kralus would be the perfect choice for this game as it would be able to use Heal to ignore all enemy damage and because he also has the ability Immunity he would not be affected by Stun and consequently would easily win this dispute.
Doing this post game analysis allows us to study more about the cards and know which are the best in each situation. After that, just decide if the price to be paid is worth it. In my case it would not be so interesting to rent Kralus as I use Splinter from Life but if you like that element then this card will probably be a great addition to your collection!

Ouch that stunlock was really unfortunate. I hate when that happens. Does stun also resets the Recharge?
Not exactly, but if you have Stun during the round in which your card could attack you will end up missing the opportunity

interesting, it happens sometimes and it is frustrating.
Some battles are frustrating and some are hilarious, it depends on who luck favors
