I'm going to miss Gelatinous Cube ⚔ Splinterlands

Eu comentei no último post que estou gradualmente fazendo a migração para a Modern Ranked, esse mudança será um processo gradual e deve demorar algumas semanas até desapegar da minha coleção Wild e conseguir novas cartas para competir no Modern. Hoje é dia de disputar as Brawls no Splinterlands e novamente eu percebi que não estou preparado psicologicamente para perder algumas cartas.

Uma das minhas batalhas veio com a regra Noxious Fumes e é possível citar várias cartas que eu possuo à disposição para essa regra que combinam perfeitamente.

Todas elas não sofrem dano de Poison e possuem outras habilidades bem interessantes então são escolhas bem óbvias para uma partida prolongada nessa regra, porém a minha escolha principal não é nenhuma dessas cartas. Vamos acompanhar em detalhes essa batalha.

Esse é o conjunto de regras e há muita mana disponível que abre espaço para decidir entre uma composição de sobrevivência ou focar totalmente em cartas poderosas para eliminar rapidamente o oponente. Eu foquei na primeira opção e o meu oponente também, resultando nesse campo de batalha:

Perceba que ambas as composições focaram em habilidades de proteção, debuffs e cura mas há uma carta especial que é a estrela do meu time (e está bem representada com sua versão Gold Foil). O Gelatinous Cube é capaz de se curar mas sua principal característica é a possibilidade de aumentar sua vida com a habilidade Scavenger . O valor da cura depende da vida máxima da carta, portanto quanto mais cartas morrerem, maior será a vida e consequentemente a cura que a Gelatinous Cube receberá.

Demorou 9 rodadas até que quase todas as cartas fossem eliminadas e restou apenas o Cursed Windeku e a Gelatinous Cube que atingiu o total de 21 de vida (21/3 = 7 de cura por rodada).

Incapazes de causar dano suficiente as curas mantiveram ambas as cartas vivas até o 21ª rodada e o dano por fadiga se iniciou. Se você não sabe como esse dano funciona, a partir do 21ª rodada todas as cartas recebem 1 de dano e o dano aumenta em 1 à cada rodada subsequente. Demorou apenas 5 rodadas para que o dano crescesse o suficiente para eliminar o Windeku. A Gelatinous Cube por outro lado ainda possuia muita vida disponível e é desse combo de habilidades que eu sentirei saudades.

Infelizmente não poderei utilizar a Gelatinous Cube na Modern Ranked e preciso encontrar uma substituta para utilizá-la em partidas focadas na sobrevivência suprema. Das cartas que eu conheço não há nenhuma que pareça tão interessante quanto ela, mas continuarei olhando outras possibilidades até achar uma carta que ocupe esse espaço no meu coração.

I commented on the last post that I'm gradually migrating to Modern Ranked. This change will be a gradual process and may take a few weeks to let go of my Wild collection and acquire new cards to compete in Modern. Today is the day to compete in Brawls in Splinterlands, and once again, I realized that I'm not psychologically prepared to lose some cards.

One of my battles came with the rule Noxious Fumes , and there are several cards at my disposal for this rule that fit perfectly.

All of them don't take damage from Poison and have other interesting abilities, so they are obvious choices for a prolonged match with this rule. However, my main choice is none of these cards. Let's take a detailed look at this battle.

This is the ruleset, and there's plenty of mana available, which opens up the decision between a survival-oriented composition or focusing entirely on powerful cards to eliminate the opponent quickly. I focused on the first option, and my opponent did too, resulting in this battlefield:

Notice that both compositions focused on protection abilities, debuffs, and healing, but there's one special card that is the star of my team (and is well represented with its Gold Foil version). The Gelatinous Cube is capable of healing itself, but its main feature is the ability Scavenger . The amount of healing depends on the maximum health of the card, so the more cards that die, the greater the life and consequently, the healing that the Gelatinous Cube will receive.

It took 9 rounds until almost all cards were eliminated, leaving only the Cursed Windeku and the Gelatinous Cube with a total of 21 health (21/3 = 7 healing per round).

Unable to deal enough damage, the healing kept both cards alive until the 21st round, and then the fatigue damage started. If you don't know how this damage works, from the 21st round onward, all cards receive 1 damage, and the damage increases by 1 for each subsequent round. It took only 5 rounds for the damage to grow enough to eliminate Windeku. The Gelatinous Cube, on the other hand, still had plenty of life left, and it's this combination of abilities that I'll miss.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use the Gelatinous Cube in Modern Ranked, and I need to find a substitute to use it in matches focused on supreme survival. Among the cards I know, there's none that seems as interesting as it, but I'll continue looking for other possibilities until I find a card that fills this space in my heart.
