Life’philosphy

After graduation, like every Pakistani, I and my boys are also encountering the question “What’s next ?”. Though a lot of options, yet all come with some drawbacks, limitations, and gloomy sides. From going abroad to starting a business, initiating a career through a job, or studying further, we are unable to select one.
What a man wants in his life is a well-settled career, the company of a happy family, and the resources to complete all the wills. But all these don’t come together at least initially. We have to select one of them to pursue our career initially. Most of us were committed to moving abroad for some higher education but with each passing day, our sentiments of “why to move abroad?” are increasing.

Is it to enjoy luxurious (at least wrt to life here) life there? Is it to earn money? But what’s the benefit of earning that money? You will not be able to sleep on the lap of your mother. You will not be able to walk along with your father and make him feel proud. You will not be able to serve them when they need you. You will be deprived of your sibling’s love and compassion and you may have to live farther from your spouse as well. All this will be along with continuous fear of xenophobic nationalists, feelings of being another creature, and unacceptance in other countries.

But along with this money is also essential. Getting stable as soon as possible is also crucial to reduce and finally remove the financial burden from the shoulders of parents. And to do this, we will have to face distance from our loved ones and continuous struggle.

Life doesn’t rotate around family and ourselves only. Being a human and part of society, many obligations are also on our shoulders to render services for the overall improvement of society. Abiding the social contract which is taking care of the needs of each other, cooperating when needed, and spreading harmony, is indispensable to keep up the framework of society.

Every person possesses different purposes in life. Some go for money no matter how much isolation they have to suffer. Some decide to live with family and satiate with what they have near them. Some want to enjoy every moment of life thinking life is short while some have long planings. It is the purpose that defines the course of their life.

Life is a name of dynamic processes keeping equal balance in individual and social life. Picking just one side will produce a great imbalance. Self-care is very much important. Taking care of yourself and setting boundaries will protect you from toxicities but self-care shouldn’t be wronged with selfishness. There is a minor difference between self-care and selfishness i.e. care. If the care and compassion for the surrounding erode flourishing self-obsession only then it is for sure selfishness, an evil. Rather too much sociality will also exterminate your real personality and deprive your soul of energy. You will be more prone to toxicities.

Money is not happiness but it is the source of happiness. It brings comfort in life quelling agony and discomforts. Life without hardships, struggles, and pains will be happy for sure. But prioritizing money only and spending the greater proportion of your life in a machine-like to earn money only will also be foolishness. Money is to comfort your life not pile it and store it.

So, I will say the philosophy which will more suit the world will be “Live and ease the living, be happy and cause the happiness”. By acting upon the following philosophy we can not only enjoy a better individual life but a great and compassionate social life as well.

You said it all in your content. This is just the true nature of life. And that’s why we all have our different purposes in life. We come, live and leave.
