Born to be a nomad

I have inherited taste, interest, and intent for many things like politics, book-reading, writing, and driving through my genes. Traveling is also one of them. We start feeling like dead souls if we don't find any occasional recreation. Just because of my family and my interest afterward, I have traveled a lot in Pakistan. From extreme north to extreme South to extreme east of Pakistan to extreme west, I have visited many places. All the trips were not only a source of recreation for me but also helped me as well in expanding my knowledge and prepare me for sudden challenges that may come from nowhere. Traveling helped me a lot in learning about different people and cultures.

It was about 3 months ago when I had my last tour. This was not a planned tour but the plan was formed and executed abruptly. I along with my cousins was annoyed with the excessive heat and unannounced load-shedding when one of them showed the urge to go to the northern areas and spend some time there. Initiall, we were hesitant about the permission but we were fortunate enough togr the consent of family to set out.

We were so desperate from the hot weather that we didn't even decide our destination and set out for our adventurous tour. A family driver was bound was us( obviously for keeping eye on us and our activities) It was during travel that we decided our destination. We wanted to visit place which gives slightly chilly weather, brings us close to nature and must be less crowded. Naran and Murree were flooded with tourists so we decided a destination almost 33 kms after Murree I.e Nathiya Galli.

It would be about 11 years ago when we last came to Nathiya Gali and it was very less developed that time but when we reached there we were astonished to see how fast Nathiya Galli evolved. Now it best restaurants, hotels, basic items and ample transport along with basic health facilities.

The main poblem there was to find a living room. So before taking rest and eating something we invested all our energies to find a better room to live in , after reaching there. I selected a hotel but unfortunately it was not for bachelors but was for family only so we have to turn towards room selected by my cousin. Rates were high there. But as we were tired we didn’t bargain much and tookroom keys from the attendant.

That night we decided to just visit the bazaar and enjoy the rambling and bustling people. We were hungry and tired so we had a delicious dinner. The next day, we started our outing. We visited all the places there like adventurous parks, churches, waterfalls and forests. But the most thrilling, joyful, and adventurous was trekking to Mukshpuri Top. We found the trekking spot. We were not aware of it but seeing people returning from there, we were also urged. It was an 8km trekk with an irregular and hilly path. But our courage was super duper-boosted. Though in many instances we felt to be drained something was attracting us there and we reached there after trekking for 3 hours. And the scenery we got after reaching there was worthy of this strive.

Our trip was of 5 days. We enjoyed a lot during these 4 days. People were wearing coats and caps but we were h were here after getting exhausted by the heat of plain areas so we were just inhaling more and more coldness in us. After 5 days we returned home with empty pockets but bundles of happiness, moments, memories and lessons.
