He Is A Clown, A Clown Is Him

I remember those times when I used to talk to myself,especially when what am doing is not going well.

"Maybe I would do well as a comedian, At least I have plenty of jokes". I would tell myself. But what if people don't laugh? Lol .

Seriously, At a time in my life I had given being a comedian a thought. That was while I was in school though. I still remember vividly what had prompted that line of thought.
A random guy (still saw the bad boy on Facebook yesterday. sigh) had easily beaten me to winning this beautiful girls heart on campus. Guess why? Because he was very funny. Of all the reasons in the world .

Then, I had always imagined myself with a microphone, in front of a very huge audience, regaling them with jokes after jokes. Touring cities and countries as comedians would do. Imagine the fame, the spotlight and the wealth. I wonder where I would have been now if I had gone that route. Maybe people would not have even listened to my jokes, lol.

Laughter they say is the best medicine. In a society like ours that things are getting difficult by the seconds, negative news everywhere you turn, anything that can put smiles on people's faces this days is gold.

One way people use in easing all the tensions is through a good laugh which comedy effectively provides.

There are so many good comedians out there. In this time and age, you only need an Internet enabled device and you are connected to unlimited dose of comedic acts from various comedians.

Time was when stand up comedy was the in thing. I would call that old school. Now the focus is more on smaller comedians doing more of skits and short acts. Social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and the likes has made the growth of this types of comedy far reaching.

One comedian I Loved so much would be Bovi. Bovi belongs to the old generation of comedians. They were there before social media became popular. They are hard core stand up comedians. He is among the ones that paved the way for the newer acts. Bovi provokes laughter just by looking at his facial expressions ,even before he says anything.

Even at that, I think I enjoy and begin to like more this newer set of comedians. They are more into skit making on social media platforms. They are quite the rave now, probably because of social media and how they churn out huge volumes of episodes of their acts, making them impossible to miss.

Among all of this comedians, one in particular stands out for me. He is no other than Lawal Micheal Nasiru, popularly known as Nasboi. If funny was to be a person, I see no other person but him.

I have followed him from when he first started. Then he was mimicking the singer Davido and was called low budget OBO. He would talk and act like Davido. This brought him into limelight.

I love his level of creativity. His is totally different from any other out there in the comedy industry. His acts always leaves you with something to learn each time you watch him. He has a unique style and delivery. Am always looking forward to watch him do his thing time after time.
