THERE'S BEAUTY IN BROKENNESS

A broken soul is not the absence of beauty, but a cracked and torn soul reeks of the sweet incense it contains.” ― C. JoyBell C

I agree totally with the saying that our hearts is the only broken instruments that never ceases to function. A lot of times, the greatest impact made in the world are usually made by people who have been broken a number of times but refused to let their brokenness define their lives, humans who are ready to sacrifice their own existence to ensure that others do not have to go through what they had been through, always willing to change the narratives of things by staying top of their games even through the storm. To me ,they are the strongest and bravest warriors.

To further explain this fact, I'll.make an illustration with a pencil. If I get a beautiful pencil and begin to draw with it and then it suddenly falls off my hand and gets broken into two half, there are two questions that will come to mind.
First, should I throw the both half away perhaps I could get a new one?

Secondly, should I pick one part, sharpen the tips and Continue my art work?

As fast as I would want to give an answer to the questions above, I would first weight the options from different point of view.

If I abandon the pencil and wait to get a new pencil, I would have wasted so much time waiting for the new pencil and I might have lost the passion to push through with the art work at the time Or maybe I have to take the time scheduled for something else to complete the work at hand which will only end up stressing me out. I might not be able to meet up with all I was supposed to do at he end of the day and trust me that could be Fustrating and annoying.

On the other hand, if I pick a part of the broken pencil and sharpen the tips, I would continue my art work and finish it on time. I would equally be able to give out the other half to another artist who might be in need of a pencil too. In the end, I will be able to inspire, help and make another person smile and still stay top of my game after-all, broken pencils can still draw.

The thrust of the above illustration is this, nobody would ever see the beauty that lies within you except you decide to sharpen yourself and still make your life count. The mess you went through is the message someone needs to hear in order to avoid trading the same path but if you cork yourself and refuse to share your lessons, you'll only end up replicating broken and shattered people around the world and you know what that means, DARKNESS.
That you came out of that situation shows how Brave you are and the fact that you're alive to tell the story is clear evidence that someone needs your blueprint to get through a particular stage in life.

A message becomes more relatable and self-explanatory when the preacher has gone through that path before and has testimonies to show, a lot of people want to learn through your scars, allow them learn.
By allowing them see light through the darkness you once walked through, you become a positive energy to the world and by applying the lessons from your blueprint, the results will be different and more profitable.

A few tips on how to see the beauty in Brokenness;

  1. Talk about what made you broken to people of like minds and to the younger generation you never can tell the destiny you'll end.up rescuing.

  2. See yourself better than your yesterday.

  3. Appreciate yourself always and be grateful for your mistakes because if you never made those mistakes, you would never discover yourself as much as you do now.

  4. Don't exalt your past, rather run with the lessons learnt and never go back to your vomit.

  5. Embrace the light and be willing to change.

  6. Always remember that everything is beautiful in it own way and you are not an exception.

Nobody promised that we wouldn't be broken by circumstances or by the ones we trusted with our whole heart, nobody guaranteed an existence without pains but it is what we choose to do with our life's after the pains that matters. Some people can't get back themselves due to the damages and some are broken without regrets and so can easily pick up themselves knowing that they have learnt their lessons, which ever way, your brokenness is an eye-opener and yes! there's so much beauty in being broken.
