Криптовалюти та блокчейни замінять все: залишилось лише трішки почекати

Привіт. Як швидко буде розповсюджуватися криптовалюта? Це дуже цікаве питання, на яке ймовірно немає однозначної відповіді. До речі, вчора прочитав, що взагалі слово "криптовалюта" хочуть замінити чимось новим. І це, на мою думку, дуже правильне рішення. За останні роки з'явилося настільки багато скам проєктів, які якимось чином асоціювали себе зі світом крипто, що краще дійсно змінити це слово. Так ось, криптовалюта, поки вона ще має таку назву, впроваджується неймовірно повільно. Причин чимало, починаючи від регуляторної політики й закінчуючи технічною стороною. А ще проблема в людях, які начиталися неправдивої інформації й дуже впевнено намагаються щось довести іншим.

Нещодавно мав розмову зі своїм старим другом. Нині він досить успішний підприємець. Відверто кажучи, я не виступав в ролі відкритого прихильника Біткоїна, Hive чи інших криптовалют. Я лише намагався ненав'язливо довести до нього аргументи переваг блокчейнів, простоти їх використання, можливість спрощення фінансової системи в цілому. Але мій друг зі студентських років вперто відкидав всі натяки та намагався довести те, що долар — це гроші, а одна з головних переваг криється в тому, що паперові гроші він може тримати в руках, а віртуальні — ні. Кумедна перевага, правда ж? Я не наривався на спір, а лише намагався почути думки людини. Подібні діалоги у мене були ще з двома знайомими. Вони побоюються інвестувати в крипто і не розуміються на технології блокчейн. Всі троє із перерахованих людей мають вищу технічну освіту. Вони закінчували університети в різних містах країни.

Для того, щоб дати цим людям поштовх в напрямку блокчейна потрібна перевірена інформація в інтернеті, а знайти її не завжди так просто, як здається. Підштовхнути їх в правильному векторі, на мій погляд, можна з допомогою постійних та цікавих розмов, та я не буду брати на себе цю відповідальність. Можливо когось із них наштовхнуть їхні близькі друзі, діти чи внуки! Та навряд чи вони увійдуть в криптосвіт так як я — з цікавості. А взагалі, вважаю, що криптоіндустрії для повномасштабного впровадження потрібно ціле покоління. Приблизно мова йде про четверть століття, може менше чи більше. За цей час сформується нове покоління людей, які будуть асоціювати криптовалюти не з пірамідами, а з цифровими та надзвичайно зручними активами.

Cryptocurrencies and blockchains will replace everything: we just have to wait a little longer

Question. How fast will cryptocurrencies spread? This is a very interesting question that probably has no clear answer. By the way, yesterday I read that they want to replace the word "cryptocurrency" with something new. I think this is a very good decision. In recent years, there have been so many scams of projects that have somehow associated themselves with the crypto world that it is better to really change this word. So, cryptocurrency, while it still has this name, is being implemented incredibly slowly. There are many reasons for this, ranging from regulatory policy to the technical side. Another problem is people who have read false information and are very confidently trying to prove something to others.

I recently had a conversation with an old friend of mine. He is now a very successful entrepreneur. Frankly speaking, I was not an open supporter of Bitcoin, Hive, or other cryptocurrencies. I was just trying to unobtrusively convey to him the arguments of the advantages of blockchains, their ease of use, and the possibility of simplifying the financial system as a whole. But my friend from his student days stubbornly rejected all hints and tried to prove that a dollar is money, and one of the main advantages is that he can hold paper money in his hands, but not virtual money. It's a funny advantage, isn't it? I wasn't trying to start an argument, I was just trying to hear the person's thoughts. I had similar dialogues with two other friends. They are afraid to invest in crypto and do not understand blockchain technology. All three of these people have higher technical education. They graduated from universities in different cities of the country.

In order to give these people a push in the direction of blockchain, you need verified information on the Internet, and finding it is not always as easy as it seems. In my opinion, it is possible to push them in the right direction with the help of constant and interesting conversations, but I will not take this responsibility. Perhaps some of them will be pushed by their close friends, children or grandchildren! But it is unlikely that they will enter the crypto world as I did - out of curiosity. In general, I believe that the crypto industry needs a whole generation for full-scale implementation. We are talking about a quarter of a century, maybe less or more. During this time, a new generation of people will be formed who will associate cryptocurrencies not with pyramids, but with digital and extremely convenient assets.
